Probably a dum question but have to ask. Would anybody Know how hot a tuber muffler gets not the header just the Muffler. Even a educated guess will help out. |

REAL F%$#ing HOT!!!! Hot enough to scorch the top couple of layers of skin right off! Please don't ask me to tell why I know this. Don't touch it till it cools. Zzat help? |

I plan on painting it and not sure is 1500 degree heat paint will work. |

I would guess between 500 and 700. At around 1000+ it would glow some I think. If you want to wait till next week I'll tell you what mine gets after regular riding. |

I have repainted mine with high heat black and it has worked out fine. Mark |

Not sure of the temp but I had one welded and painted it with flat black header paint and it never burned off. Joe |

I know the bends out fo the head, on the header are just shy of 800 degrees(with jetcoat).... So, the muffler should be in the 500-700 range... Chase |
