HOLY $%&@, that's exactly what I needed to see! Guess I'll be adding powder coating wheels to the winter projects thread! I was worried the black wheels might take away from the black body work. I believe if anything the black wheels add to it! Seems to draw more attention to the forks, engine and swingarm. It's a done deal! Will post pics soon with Black Wheels! Thanks Sanchez, I really do appreciate it!!! |

I love my S1 as much as the first time I saw her. It's fun continually upgrading everything, too. My decision to go S1 vs M2 or X1 came down to one thing...which one I could live with best in its stock configuration. |

Thanks to Sanchez for the photoshop on my silver wheels to black, my wheels are removed from the bike. The tires, rotors, sprocket and bearings have been removed and the first stop tomorrow morning is the powder coating shop where they will receive a liquid black finish. Looks like a two or three day turn around. I'm pumped!! |

My 99 Cyclone has been an excellent bike. I've been lucky and haven't dealt with the problems most have. I've taken great care of this bike, but have also worked it hard. We rode in Italy for 2 years, made 2 trips to Daytona Bike Week, heading there again in a couple weeks. It's made 2 AMA races at Barber Motorsports. It was ridden hard for a couple of years while I lived in Texas. We rode with the TSBA in the hill country every weekend. It's made 2 trips to Deal's Gap and TWO. I'm moving to Utah next month and have plans to ride it to the Salt Flats for a little salt action. This bike is a warrior. I've tried to let it go several times only to chicken out when someone got serious about buying it. The bike has 21620+ miles.

Still having trouble with the shift drum? Or are you just trying to reduce weight for more speed? |

"Still having trouble with the shift drum?" No, I'm replacing the gears that have the engagement dogs for the 1st to 2nd shift (the 2nd and 3rd countershaft gears). The gears aren't cheap, but I was surprised they were only $52 and $56. The transmission is a pure joy to work on if you've ever had to split cases before. |

My '99 M2 Cyclone is one fun MC. We've solo toured and goofed around all over the country. I rode it to a new top speed ( before I ran out of road about a mile ) at 139 1/2 mph. The bikes stock. It's so fun in the twisties. I have an EG too and it's fun to trade off. The bagger is for trips with wifey or when I want a little wind protection and music. |

Got my wheels back from the powder coaters today! Gloss black and look great! Will drop them off at my buds place in the morning to have tires mounted then off to my daughters soccer game! Will pick them up after lunch and then begin the slow install taking time to clean everything as it goes together. Now where's that blue lock tite! Best hundred bucks (90 + 10 dollar tip) I've spent in a long time! Can't wait to post some pics! |

Done!! Black powder coated wheels installed. Looks pretty darn good with the polished silver wave rotor and fork legs contrasting with the black wheel in front and the polished rear sprocket (chain variety)and brushed aluminum swingarm against the black wheel in the back! |
