Going to replace my wheel bearings while I have everything apart. One of my bearings in the rear wheel is slightly loose in the hub. It is about 40 degrees in my garage, could this have any affect? I have PM wheels on 97 tuber. Any worrys? if so what can be done?

Thanks
Mike

Had the same problem in my '99. The wheel had become so deformed that the bearing could fall out. If it's only slightly loose, you can get an adhesive (sorry, don't remember what we used on the opposite side of mine). For mine, I had a machine shop install a sleeve. That was a couple hundred dollar repair. Lornce did the same with his bike and detailed it in the KV, but with tolerances much tighter than we used.

Does anyone know what kind of adhesive easy rider is talking about? One of my rear outer bearings is slightly loose in the hub. It will not fall out and will slightly spin in the hub.

"Loctite Bearing Fit" or similar, it may be called differently over there. A bearing supplier will know what you mean. HTH.
