First lowering link is done. No one specified what drop they were looking for, so I made a 4", which is what I use on mine. Without a passenger I don't hit the oil bag or the undertail, steering response is a little less because of course you are effectively increasing the rake and trail. Without rear sets, you are looking at a 35 degree lean at scrape, give or take. At 200 lbs. and 5'10", it lets me spread my legs at a stop about 1ft each side and still flat foot. In the best interest of this forum, pics are going up in the classifieds. This link is designed to go in between the swingarm and the shock/spring. This is what I call the 5 minute 1 man swap out. Pull 2 bolts, replace 1 bolt, adjust pre-load, and stock ride height is restored. So.... let me know.... I re-checked it and you can drop the rear 6, leaving you with 1 1/2 until the swingarm hits its stop. I can make it as slight as 2. | ||

I have been considering a xb9, but it is too high for me (vertically challenged @ 5'6" and 28" inseam). I am currently riding a Blast, the only Buell I feel comfortable on. Last night I sat on a XB9CityX, with a 12low seat, and I think I need about 2 inches to feel good. I can touch both toes, but my heal is about 3" off the ground. Do you have pictures or any information about what you have done? Price? Mitch |
