I've had 2 Cyclones one 1999 the other 2000. I moved all of my performace mods from the 1999 to the 2000 but I still think the 2000 is a little down on power. Mods are 42 mm Mikuni, forcewinder, and vance and Hines slip on pipe. I have played with the timing a couple of deg. both ways with no real improvement. Why does the 2000 seam to be down a little on power? thanks Bronson

One thing that pops up in my mind is the carb. Tuned for one bike may not be tuned for another - even if the same model, maybe do some dyno-tuning to get it dialed in, baseline runs should only run about 40 bucks or so. Can't hurt to check. Could also check compression on the 2000 .. you never know ..

I can tell you, the european M2 models altered from Sportster cams to X1 cams in 2000.
