No name for my Buell. This is a good thing. For me, a name must be earned. here is a listing of all of my past vehicles for reference: 1975 Olds delta88 = Blue Bomber 1985 Honda CRXsi = Little Red Rice Rocket 1977 Dodge B200 van = (no nickname, I loved that thing) 1981 Olds cutlass = The Shitbox 1986 Ford escort station wagon = (no nickname, I actually liked that thing) 1991 Chevy 9C1 police car = (no nickname, I LOVED that car) 1989 Kawasaki KLR250 = (no name, liked it) 1979 XLH1000 = The Blue Bitch (don't know why I can't dump her) 2000 Buell X1 = (Love it, no name) See the pattern? I only name things that I hate. |

Like you, only the bad cars got a name. Some of my cars were; The Turd (82 Grand Prix) The Sled (63 comet) The Assmobile (72 AMC Ambassador and we picked off the letters so it said "ass") The Booger (bright green 78 caddy) |

Only 1 name for 3 bikes.... Marilyn
(above is pre-rebuild) She got her name because she's blonde; raw yet sophisicated; and loves to be ridden fast & hard |

M2 Cyclone, isn't that name enough ?Don't want to blame anyone, but giving names to material things , like human beings, is stupid in my eyes. Ralph |

I haven't really named any of my bikes, not officially anyway. I've occasionally referred to one or another of them, in times of human/mechanical incongruity, with various strings of expletives - none of which I'll expound on here. I'm sure many of you have called yours the same, or similar names. I had considered naming my RS "Messiah" The first time I wound it up and hit the turbo boost around 3400-3500 RPM, my response was "JESUS CHRIST!!!" AL |

Good Post Funny. I bought my '99 M2 on December 1st. On the first of every month we see who can say "rabbit, rabbit, rabbit" first for good luck. So my Cyclone is nicknamed "Rabbit" It seems to fit. TicToc |

My S3T was named "Bitch Erosion" by a friend of mine. (I bought the bike as a divorce present to myself) It was the least expensive ride I'd had in a long time... |

I always refer to my two Buells as Uly and M2. This weekend I am taking the M2 for a two & half day ride and my wife said, "so your taking the girl friend out?" I had to laugh, the poor M2 has been neglected since I got the Uly and this will be its first major outing since October of last year. So now I have the bikes named... The Wife (Uly), the one you take home to mother. The Girl Friend (M2), the one you take out for a good time. |

Yea,I know, some may consider it a slam but not me: May not be very fast but it's got a kick to it Always wanted to get Yosemite Sam on the camel painted on both sides of the rear fender: Left side(shifter)-"Ya Muell!" Right side(rear brake)-"Woah Muell!" (Message edited by sparkster on June 28, 2006) |

Wow .. I actually call my M2 'the mule' as well on occasion, someone asked me the name question once .. all that came to mind as far as a girl's name was Betty .. black on black M2 .. the song 'Black Betty' popped up ... so, depending on my mood, (or the bike's mood) 'Mule' or 'Black Betty' |

Her name is Karley, named after a stripper. She's tall, lean, mean and has plenty of attitude to keep me happy. I do kind of agree with not naming a buell after a girl (that would be one tough, mean a$$ BI@!%^) but it just wouldn't be right for a guy to ride a guy and i can't stop calling her...her. so there ya go. |
