Ben; thanks for all the additional information. I appreciate it. I had been thinking I'd need to replace stator, rotor and regulator with the XB parts in order for it to work. A little pricey ... I have a call out with Daves asking whether things would fit/work. I'll report back with what I hear. Henrik |

Ben -- thanks from me, also -- good to understand a bit more about the system - no such thing as a product without comprimises, i'm thinkin RT -- twice, as we just weren't sure ya got it right the first time! |

Hey guys, I'm running a complete post tuber charging conversion on my S3T. Originally tried the FL swap, and it didn't fit. With GPS, motolights, and radar detector on there are no issues. |

OM -- NOW you tell me (grin) -- thanks for the update, sir -- I may just have to make the swap this winter! all three units required, I would imagine -- rotor/stator/regulator do the gods smile so much on us that the connectors match up, making it all a plug and play operation, or is connector surgery required? |

Old Mil; Thank you for that very encouraging information! Maxx was asking about this as well. Questions: Aaron made me aware of a "small" issue wrt. fitting an XB rotor: the XB sprocket sizes are different from what we run in the tubers. I'd need a 35 tooth in the S2 and no such animal exists for the XB line. So OM; - what did you do in the primary; XB stator and stock rotor ? - And you're running an XB regulator as well? - did you have to change anything else? Advice wrt. the rotor. Apparently my older style, 4 bolt rotor is known for having issues - like coming loose - and it was recommended that I go with a newer style (not XB) 8-bolt style rotor. - anyone know if there are different stators for the different XB models? We'll need to hear back from Old Mill whether he used his stock rotor or an XB rotor ...? Thanks for the price check. Henrik |

just to wrap this up for good and all, I discovered what CAUSED the failure in the first place ;-} while a magnet DID come loose from the rotor, and while that DID take out the stator, I found out what made the magnet come loose in the first place -- after putitng everything back together, I noticed the lil brass bell that lives on the kickstand tang was gone! I immediately replaced it, of course check those bells, fellas . . . . . |

check those bells, fellas . . . . . Cyclonecharlie introduced me to this accessory. Are they available from a Badweb-approved vendor? |

I'd still love to hear a few more details from Old Mill before I dive in. I shot him a PM as well - no word yet. Anyone know Old Mil and could give him a nudge ...? Henrik |

Henrik - I will have an XB stator and regulator installed with the stock S3 rotor/sprocket within 3 to 4 weeks...will let you know how it goes...the XB stator is wider than S3, but space is available. I haven't heard from Old Mil either...maybe he's not sure if he has XB rotor or not. Will know soon for sure...will be guinea pig for around $200 in new parts. Talk to you later. |

Maxx; thanks for taking the plunge. I'll be heading down that path myself soon. I got some further unofficial confirmation that the XB stator/regulator combo will work. My bike is an S2, and it was again recommended I pick up an XB rotor and find an 8-bolt 35 tooth sprocket - probably a late model S3 sprocket. The older rotor sprocket assembly had only 4 bolts and have a reputation for coming loose if power is hopped up. Thanks again for the heads up. I'll post more info as I get it.
