The right lower fairing on my S3T is cracking pretty badly. I have used some fiberglass to keep it together but the cracks continue to spread. I bought a new black one on e-bay a few weeks ago so I have a spare once I find someone to paint it blue streak.

So, when I do replace the cracked one, any ideas on how to prevent the new one cracking? At 70 mph that fairing is really vibrating.

Thanks,
Mark

I just found the "velcro fix" in the KV from 2000.

Have there been any better fixes?

Thanks,
Mark

Buell changed the plastic material in 2001 too. I never installed mine, so I'm not sure if it works better. My original one lasted just 300 miles.

I did the velcro fix and it no longer vibrates at any speed. So far so good.

This question is on a similar subject but does anyone if a X1 chin spoiler can be used along with the S3T wings? I have been thinking about replacing my S3T wings and I was just wondering. I would like to have a little wind protection during the colder months.

Thanks in advance for your input.
