Do all of the special edition X-1s (i.e. '99 blue stripe, 2000 red stripe, millennium edition) have a unique gas cap with the production number such as "200 of 800"? Are there any exceptions? Thanks, Boiler | ||

buellboiler, I have a '99 carbon fiber extreme and the gas cap has the limited edition and the no. 205 of 250 on it. I'm not sure but I think 250 is the smallest run of the limited editions. Besides the earlier pre-mass production models that is, when there were only 4 or 5 produced. I haven't done my homework but I think the stripes had the limited gas caps also. My service guy did tell me way back when that if I ever needed to replace a limited part I would have to bring the old one in or prove that I owned it. How true that is I don't know, but that is what I was told. | ||

I think you are right about 250 being the smallest run of the limited editions. I've got a CF extreme too and I know Chasespeed does as well. | ||

Not sure if the WL were limited, but I don't have a gas cap #... You would think that they would though.. oh well | ||

I have carbon kevlar #206 of 250 for sale right now in the classified section. I'd much rather it goes to a Badwebber who I know is much less likely to make it into a pogo stick with wheels. | ||
