I ran 12.24@111 on a 99 S3 with a muffler and no practice back before the Race ECMs came out. Gateway Int'l Raceway, St Louis |

I just ran a 12.01@111.31 at New England Dragway on my 99 S3. Unknown CF exhaust, Buell CF air filter and stock ECM. The bike had an 11 in it, but the rider didn't! It was my 1st time racing the bike, and I've only had it for about 400 miles.... |

No problem,Blake.I am stuck at work for 96 straight and it's raining--again/still.Though I did get a window of opportunity and rode the bike in. Still don't have my bike back from Aus--at least a week more. And I have ordered every concievable part I can until it gets back.So I come here to break the tedium. |

Thanks Firemanjim and everyone else for the input.I am seriously thinking about running my s3 down the strip to see what it will do.I just wanted to see what everyone else is running with their mods.My bike pulled 113.7 hp and 90 ft lbs of torque on the dyno at cycle rama.So hopefully I am capable of making it run 11's.Please keep the timeslips coming!Hey 3boyz what kind of 60ft time are you laying down?and what kind of speed are you going through the traps? |

assuming it runs all the way down the track- even a gentle launch should put you well into the 11's! Good luck, let us know how you do... |

Damn you TSI! You beat me by 0.009 seconds! Now I might have to go to the strip tonight and see if the just installed race ecm can get me in the 11's.... Or, on 2nd thought, I might have to say "I'll get you next time" and stick with my plan to see if a particular hot redhead wants to go out for a Margarita What did the rest of the run look like (60', 1/8th, 1/8th mph and trap speed)? Hmm, quite the conundrum there, the red head could demand you lose the bike and the bike may demand so much you lose the red head. Exciting either way! Gonna get me a margarita in either case! |

not to worry, she has asked for a ride (on the back of my bike). the question is, I'm busy the rest of the week/weekend so do I go to the track and make her wait until next week or do I try to hook up for the margarita tonight (we have not been on a "date" yet)? Maybe this will help:

if i woudl have kept goign i would have gotten in the 11s. I stared out at a 12.8 adn went down to there with plenty of rom for improvement. The 300 HP eagle talon i built showed up and i had to tune that for the rest of the night |

The 300 HP eagle talon i built showed up and i had to tune that for the rest of the night Me too, I only took about 5 runs that day. Started at a 12.74 launching/riding in street mode and worked my way down. The problem is once you get that close to the 11's you start trying too hard (not as hard as Cochise though ) and ended up going slower.....So I left it for another day. Again, I am curious what the rest of your slip breakdowns were though? |
