After having toyed with the idea of selling her and buying a newer XB, I opted to invest instead! Here's the list & pics New tires: Metzler Sportec M1's f/r New oil pump drive gear New exhaust bracket New primary tensioner New intake seals New exhaust gaskets New black exhaust wrap New Forcewinder/power vents New handlebars New mirrors New carbon fiber tank trim What a HUGE difference! Work was done by Deano's customs in Salem, Oregon. Now if we could get the biblical rains to go elsewhere I'd be totally set... Good thinking and great bike! In as much as I like the XB's, I love the personality of a Tuber. |

Next winter I'm getting the swingarm, sub-frame, triple clamps, front engine mount all powder coated black; then I should be done...sure! I'm glad I stuck with the tuber, thanks for the comments. |

Same bike as mine I am getting the tail section powder coated black right now... I will post pics soon. I have been thinking of doing the header wrap also.. Did you spray it afterwords or not...? I hope to get my swing arm done next year also. How many miles you got on it?? It looks good. |

what would be even sweeter if you were using the 2001 nuke blue decal like in my profile with the checked flag back ground. I just bought a set awhile ago as I get ready too paint the plastic $$$$$$$$$$$ |

Chevy, I have 4300 miles on it, bought it w/ 1200 in May of last year. Do the header wrap, don't worry about the spray. I bought two 25ft. rolls (2in. wide) and the stainless header wrap ties from paragon products for $72 including shipping...it's a porsche products site, but it was the best deal out there and the product looks EXCELLENT in person. Wouldn't hesitate at all to do it again. Love this bike infinately more than I thought possible! |

Not custom, it is THE last of the Eurocomponents Fairings. I scored it a while back and finally have the time to put it on. It's still in the factory primer/gelcoat (sorry to tease). See Chase, if you came up here to Northern VA a few months back and met up with us DC Brag folks, I might have let you talk me out of it. Now it has found a permanent home on my X-1. Karl |
