To me it appears just to be a way to adapt a Pingel petcock to a stock carb-equipped Buell tank, not something that could be used to change a tank from Fuel Injection to carb. My .02, 1313 |

That is exactly what it is. I looked at that when I did my carb conversion. What I ended up doing is getting the Pingel aluminum weld in bung, made up 2 pieced of flat plate, drilled the holes for the inner plate (larger) and outer plates (size of the bung) then drilled and tapped several holes to mount the plates together. I then sandwiched 2 pieced of gas/oil resistant rubber between the plates and using my wife's tiny hand had her put the inner plate into the tank and I tightened the plates together using stainless screws. I run a Pingel high flow petcock and it works awesome. No leaks!! |

I guess I'll just stick with my modified gutted fuel pump. All I need is cleaner set up for running the fuel line. Anybody know where I can get a 90 degree elbow? or a on/of switch that has the outlet at 90 degree's. right now I am using a fuel switch from my Snapper lawn mower.. LOl |
