Took 6 months but I'm getting my repaired RS tank tomorrow. They used a cleaning solution plus shaking with a chain and nuts and bolts to clean the crap out of the tank, then double-sealed with a sealant intended for chemical tank, repaired the cracks and "ears" then paint matched the repairs and clear-coated the whole tank. Hope it lasts forever now. Can't believe I missed the whole Summer and Fall after I replaced the tires and brakes and rebuilt the carb, brakes, chain, and suspension !!! Guess them's the breaks with an old mostly unsupported bike. The weekend ought to be at least 45deg, if the salts off the road I might take her out. |

Josh, you just hop on that beautiful piece of Buell history and have a good ol' ride!! I'm being pressured to ride a bit on Sunday IF the weather is cooperative...a tank of gas through the S2 could be a good thing. As good as they may have been is their day, Dunlop 205's are now marginal at best... |

This thing rocked with fresh Metzeler Z6s, new brakes, Trackside-worked suspension and a rebuilt S1 (with the accelerator pump) carb. I got a speeding ticket the first time out I need to start looking for "T" bars for it as the seating position leaves much to be desired after a few hours. |

oops. Wife picked up the tank a little early, my moto guy hadn't reinstalled the filler/neck or the line fittings. I also now see the repair of the ears included "repairing" the front mounting holes no big deal, you can drill fiberglass, right? beautiful work on the repair. Loki, got a price? |

Wouldn't expect ya to surrender any of the old stuff. Hard enuff to come by as it is. Got to thinking about some stuff. Thanks to Ferris and Bomber my S1 made it back on the road. So what say I send them to you as a way of repaying their kindness to a fellow Bueller. Just keeping it in the family so to speak. Besides you may need to buy me a beer someday. So send me a snail mail addy to s1loki(at)comcast(dot)net. Bry |
