Title says it all. I would like everyone to post here if they have one of these classics in the making. I am sure it has been discussed already, but, I am wondering how many of these landmark machines are left. How many were built in the first place, including "T"s? I remeber there being a list, but don't remember where. I have I believe # 1247, 96 with red body and white frame. (Still need all my sig. stuff) |

Just got S2T # 115, after nearly a decade of lust. I seem to recall something like 398 "T"'s--is that right? |

I believe we have a section on this, listing all of the bikes and their vins, etc. It would be nice to be able to format it and be able to continually add to..? REX |

I have a "T", # 3 out of 36 California examples produced that year. turns out Court was (of course) correct, mines a '96, NOT a '95, regardless of what the first title said. |

I saw this in the for sale section...someone looking for a good s2? look here! what a deal...rex I am not selling the bike, but went and looked at it last night. All original with the exception of a Supertrapp muffler and fabricated stainless steel header. One owner bike by an Earl Smalls HD/Buell mechanic. Original signature plate with the bike and owners manual. One of the cleanest ones that I have seen in a while. He traded it in for a Duc. The bike is for sale at $3250 (bottom line) and not through a dealership. Unfortunately I just purchased a 2002 S3T two weeks ago and cannot justify four Buells in the garage (I am the only rider in the house). I figured one of you guys might appreciate this one. If so please give me a call at 770-597-2819 and I will put you in touch with the Duc employee. I do not want to post his number, as he will move this bike fast and do not want to burden him with a lot of calls. Buells are not his forte, but he does specialize in clean/eccentric bikes. A buddy of mine is going to look at that S2 for me today. It seems like it was number 1498? The wife's not real pleased about it, I'd prefer a "T", I don't have time to ride one bike, much less two, and I don't want to sell the S3.... I'm down to deciding if one will be around at that price a couple of years from now. Ebay seems to indicate that the $5K I thought was the going price may be lower now. Does the "looking" tags above indicate that there are a dozen S2's out there for sale right now? I saw two listed here and 3 on Traderonline but that's the only data points I could find. |

The second bike I refer to above is one that Thnder1 has/had, #202 96 S2T Parkway Blue, listed in the archived classifieds. |

The "looking" above refers to folks looking for their signature series paperwork and stuff that they didn't get when they bought their S2's used. And most anything is for sale for the right price. MikeJ 1995 Pearl White S2. 2000 non-pearl Black M2. |

mine, then, I guess, is #CA3...right? on the "Signature #" category it says: 96S2TCA3/36. Remember, California model owners, to include the Ca. ...I think...... I have all my paperwork, timing cover, etc. |

JT, Look for the last three (or four) numbers of the VIN. The cover I have is for #433, the VIN is: 4MZRT11H4S3000433. #433 out of a total 1399 for that year. |

Incidentally, In california there were 36 "T"s produced for the model year 1996. mine originally had a strange '95 rr1200 title, but the signature series stuff was '96. the current title worked out fine. |

California S2 guys (fireman jim, Rex, etc.)... are your S2s California version ot 49 state versions? If they're Calis like mine, you should list the "CA" before the Signature series #. |

Sorry to go off topic, but Seth mentioned that the last four digits of the VIN is the unit number... Is that typical for all Buell VINs? If so, I am the proud owner of Cyclone #56 |

I have (2) clean 96S2T, with all paper work, and hard bags. I have been thinking about selling one for the last 2 yrs. One is gray/silver, the other is the purple/parkway blue. I am the second owner on both. I will get back with the sig numbers.I was not on the last list. |

Fireman jim said: "Tramp,my original bike is CA model, came with the Quiksilver carb." Mine too, Jim- so yours is not #36, but CA36, as opposed to #36, which is a different machine altogether, IF I'm not mistaken, right? I ask because my own signature series # is "CA 0003", not "0003", the 49-stater. I'm just making sure I have it right.... |
