Hello all, I am really new to the buell thing and must say I am quite impressed. Now keep in mind I bought a wrecked m2 for my chopper build but, my back will only take a rigid so long, so as my daily bike I might pick up another buell. Now the matter at hand, I have the body work from the m2. The only thing that took a hard hit was the front fairing thing. So I thought it would be cool to paint up the rest of the plastics with something cool. So I ask you guys what would be cool for a fellow buell owner? as I will be selling these plastics as soon as they are done. So here is your chance to have the custom paint you have always wanted. Thanks Noah |

yeah- "theme bikes" cartoons and such. maybe a "batbike" maybe I'll rethink my nekkid S2 and do an "Archie" or "jughead" bike. |

well if I was going to keep it i would put realistic flames on it, black with blue flames, or black with orange flames. I am not so much looking to sell to anyone on here but I more so wonder what other peoples interests or likes are. My self I am a flames and skulls type of guy. I also like the pinstriping of the 50's and 60's So please what are your guys ideas of custom paint What does your custom paint look like? |

oh, wait- you're interested in painting the plastics for resale. Spidey's idea for a Police/FD paint scheme makes excellent sense. I know many, many NYFD guys who would kill for a set of Buell FD commemorative bodywork on ebay. It looks like both Spidey and me thought you were keeping the plastic. NFL and MLB teams are big, too. seems a Boston Red Sox or NY Yankees theme would sell like pedro martinez gas: high and fast |

My winter project is considering an Orca theme. Hmmm, the dictionary calls killer whales "very efficient marine predators." Rob |

No skulls, no flames, too common B.S. How about painting to look like unfinished hanmmered or riveted steel. Maybe stock look , but an oddball color like coppertone. A friend has an s1 in dark red with light red metal flake that is awesome. Please no theme, the only theme Buell I have seen that is cool is spideys. Paint "Wall Of Death Bike" on the tank and see the looks you get at bike meets. Be original! (Message edited by Tom_B on August 30, 2005) |

You could alway do something base off the "Cyclone", look it up and get some picture ideas.... I know what I am thinking about isnt original, but I thinking about having my plastics doen up with some airbrushed "lightning" in nuke blkue to match teh frame of course.... with a custom Buell logo.... But hey, a NYFD or NYPD thing woudl be cool too... Chase |

Shadowshady the buell-chopper guy is painting this plastic for quick resale, so that's why i suggested Sox, Yankees, FD, etc. I always thought that a "Then Came Bronson" scheme would kick a*s on a Buell. Honestly, I think THAT would sell, FAST, here or on ebay! |

guys all of the ideas are great, 1 the hammered riveted look is one of my favorites and i have done it alot but it looks better on jap full fairing bike in my opinion. I also have done lightning on one of my radio control cars. That would be sweet on a buell. The then came bronson theme??????????? clue me in what is that? If you guys can help me out on posting pic's I will put some examples of what i have done in the past. Thanks Keep em coming. Noah |

How about '70s vintage Yamaha racing colors? Keep them guessing! Many people will just read the tank blindly. |

I had considered a ghosted in flag theme a while back, metalic black and silver on black. Would look pretty cool, American motorcycles and all that. -Mike |

These are graphics from cyclegraphics.com that I put on myself. You adhere them with a hair dryer which makes it nice to apply for a non-pro like me b/c I could try and try again until I got everything the way I wanted it . . . and then got it the same on the other side. I think the US flag flame theme is perfect for a Buell.

How about a skull and crossbones on the tank and call it Cyclone B, A grim reaper with a sickle call it cythclone, a giant single eye and call it cyclops, red eyes with a silver robot look and call it cyborg. Paint it up like the vintage scorpions album "Blackout" and call it Psychlone. Flat black with bloody bullet holes, call it whatever, I'm running out of names to go with the ideas.I really like the "Then Came Bronson", very few people ever saw that movie or even remember it. |

I'd add to that, but slamming people behind their backs, on other boards, and publicly pussying out when given a chance to speak face-to-face is not a practice i'm into. I'll leave that to "other boards" and stick with Badweb and ATC, thanks. (Message edited by tramp on September 01, 2005) |
