Help: Speedo cable busted. How do I disconnect the cable from drive unit at the wheel? Any other helpful tips would also be appreciated. Gian4 |

Are you sure the cable is bad? I went through 4 sensors in 2 years on my M2 before getting an improved recall part. |

No sensor.......old school baby only cable drive. I can't seem to loosen it at the wheel and i don't want to screww it up and bugger up the speedo drive. Any advise would be appreciated. |

the cable is screwed into the housing and held with a setscrew there is a tiny brass set screw on the bottom of the drive (almost missed it the first time i had to r&r the cable). loosen it and the cable should unscrew fairly easily (counterclocwise from rear of bike). be careful not to overtighten when you replace the setscrew |

Buellzebub.... Thanks man...that is tiny. I never would have seen it without your heads up info. Now I've just got to find a small enough screw driver. Thanks again for the help Ken Gianetti |
