Author Message   Steveford Posted on Tuesday, August 09, 2005 - 01:34 pm:        I managed a 768 mile day on my '98 S3 yesterday and what a great highway motorcycle this is; kind of like a BMW boxer with balls. The high point of the day was setting off an SUV's alarm system when I started up at a rest stop. I guess that I'm easily amused. I did a 1062 mile ironbutt on my S3T this summer; I was about as tired as I was after 500 miles on my Harley Dynaglide. Wow. About 750 miles is my longest. I did the Pro Pad (which is a viscoelastic polymer ) installation myself. With my S-1's stock seat, the most I ever did was 310 miles; I thought I was gonna die afterwards.
