I did see a show on the History channel Modern Marvels Motorcycles. There was a very nice piece at the end about the naked and "in your face" Buell that was cool to watch. There was also a nice piece about the Britten that had a lot of the innovations that Eric Buell has adopted. Watch it if you can! Den |

i think the genral populace, regardless of 'desert storm' participation would likely misconstrue it, regardless of how any ds vets feel. that's the problem, but it is an incredibly minor one at that. nice logo regardless! (Message edited by tramp on July 19, 2005) |

Looks overly 'busy' with all the model names...seems like an extraneous feature. the model names won't make sense to nonbuell-buffs, and the buell buffs don't NEED 'em.... That "brothers Of the storm" mumbo-jumbo still doesn't sit well with me at all. Sounds too 'shared traumatic experience survivor' or "gay men's Doors fan club" ...take him by the hand make him understand.... |

A little radioactivity would make it glow in the dark. As the patch radio decays and emits alpha, gamma and neutron particles keep in mind they are mass in motion with an opposite reaction. If you wear the patch on your chest the particles will slow you down and if you wear the patch on your back it will speed you up. Better gas mileage too. Food for thought. Den |

distaff = female which generally do not fit into the broad category known as "brothers," yes? insert appropriate smiley nonetheless, this gender-based terminology issue does not prevent me from referring to my long-time riding partner and wife as my "wingman." nother smiley |

don't use 'wingmen' on anything like stickers, patches, t-shirts, etc... that's a 1%er m/c's name and they ususally don't have great humor about using their names. |

this is what i like soo far being that I am just wasting some time. I don't know if the site owners (BLAKE) would have an objection to it I have a connection to Buelldom here hence BWB inclusion. The BWB name was born out of the model names (cyclone, lightning, thunderbolt) I want the various models named to give some sense of history, hense RR,RS,RSS, the blast and fire bolt, names to be all inclusive. We refer to each other here as "brother" which is why i started with brothers of the storm. We have the 3%s' out of Stone Mountain GA, there are police clubs, one called the IRON PIGS comes to mind. In a sense we are a large club, all Buell enthusiasts are welcome! I think that the 3% are primairly fuellies,( i think some tubers are included )and are they a bragg chapter? the riders of the storm is more a reference to the names of the tubers, which are being lost for various reasons, the oldest production bikes also fall in here, I think an RR or an RS being parted out for a chopper would be a sin as they are in that category of things like the XB70 Valkerie that are rare, special, and unique, as the carnage continues for what ever reason, the S2, S2T, and to a lesser extent s3, s3t will head the way of the RR & RS bikes. As I think of the ideas for the patch I look at it as a book mark at the end of a chapter in the BMC history and the begining of another, I can't wait to see whats next from the pourch ol dog...... Riders of the Storm is cool. I like your idea of the honoring of the old school tubers. Long live the tubers! |
