Has anyone powder coated or painted a swingarm? I plan to powder coat one, and I would like to know what prepwork or area's I should powder coat. Thanks in advance. |

I polished/more like a brushed finish on mine, you'll probably have to get new seals and bearings since the heat from the PC oven will melt the seals and maybe the grease, so I would think those would have to be removed/taped off along with the axle adjusters area and the pivot eye for the shock. They will probably plug the holes on the inside for you, you just have to let them know what you want done. The rest looks to be free game. I have had my frame PC'd and the buildup isn't too bad and what is there can be removed with a dremel or thread chaser if need be, but would be/is easier if the area is not PC'd in the first place. Tuber or XB style, cause I don't know anything about an XB |

If it's an older tuber replacing the seals and the bearings usually isn't a bad idea anyhow since you will have it out. |

It isn't all too difficult.. HAHAHA well about 4 hours of work to get mine off.. but we replaced the bearings on the swingarm, and the rear isolators. To coat the swingarm, and the tail was $100.00 Good luck.. any questions... feel free to ask |
