I am now on my 3rd speedo cable in a month. They keep breaking down by the wheel. Suggestions remedies??? I would strony suggest you check out your drive and speedo, something is causing the cable to bind, and i would guess its your speedo, ie your drive spins the cable that spins the speedo, i think the drive(at the wheel) keeps spining and the spedo is either stopping or getting caught R | ||

Roger I had 3 inner cables brake on my speedo all i was doing was replacing the inner they were braking at differant places so i got a compleat cable and then cut open the old outer and found a small bad spot that was worn every thing work great now. | ||

make sure you lube the inner cable before you install it. the last one i received from the factory was barely lubed. tri-flow teflon lube works for me, slick as goose poo and it stops the needle from bouncing all over. | ||

oops my bad... the tri-flow lube i mentioned above seems to only work @ lower temperatures (the needle was bouncing all over the place when the temperature here hit 30 degrees C), i have gone back to a dry graphite spray and my bouncing needle has officially dissappeared. |
