I've swapped out the stock windshield on my S3T with a Rifle +8 windshield. It works well, but the windshield is quite a bit more upright than the stock screen and in strong crosswinds the fairing (where the windshield attaches) doesn't have enough natural strength to keep the thing from bending slightly. I was wondering if anyone has tried to reinforce this area with a metal brace? I was thinking that you could run a small diameter metal pipe down to the ones by the fairing mounted accessory bags on each side of the dash...? |
