hi guys, first off i just want to say that i joined this forum a few days ago and i love it. great to see other buell fans. anyway. i have a 00 s3 and i was curious if anyone has tried putting the front fairing/lights off of a xb12r on one of these. ive spoken to my local harley shop (winston salem, NC) and the fairing/lights/mounting bracket for lights only costs about 350 bucks. i love the way they look, but would rather not plop down 10 grand to get that look when i may be able to mod my bike to look better for WAY cheaper. share your thoughts garrett | ||

Hi Garrett, Welcome aboard- this is THE place for Buell info. An XB12R fairing on an S3 sounds pretty cool. Silverbullet (one of the 3%er's, Atlanta BRAG chapter) has an XB12R fairing on his X-1. Let us know how you make out. I myself would be interested in doing something like this myself. How about a S3 with an X1 chin fairing and the XB fairing. Kind of like a FrankenBuell. | ||

sorry, but i dont know a whole lot about motorcycles, whats the differences (as far as the frame goes) with the x1 and s3? that guys x1 is SICK! thats the look i want. can someone get me a better pic of the x1 chin? like i said, i love the xb12r, but for 10k i can do a lot more with mine haha. feel free for any of you to email me at xxxboosted2xxx@aol.com about anything, if you want to give me any info or anyhting, i want to learn as much as possible garrett |
