The easiest identifier for the pre-recall S2 swingarm is that the two arms (where the back wheel mounts) are cut, bent and welded (forming an angle) whereas the S1 style swingarm and later recall swingarm have these arms with a nice bent radius. The recall swingarm can be identified from the S1 OE swingarm by the fact that there is an additional piece of metal joining the two said arms that will look like ar arch when looking down from the top. The OE S1 swingarm just had the two arms welded to the swingarm pivot tube. This is the best I can describe it without having pictures of the differences at my disposal. Any possibility you have pics of what you are trying to identify? Someone else on the site here is bidding on the sideplates. Got the other item in watch and will decide tomorrow if I hit it or not. If I miss it another one will come along someday, no problem since it'll just be for spares.
