I am pricing parts through my local H-D/Buell dealer, and the part number for the swingarm comes up obsolete. The number was superceded, and that number is obsolete too. Last number was: 47589-96Y Anyone know of a good part number for 1996 S1 swingarm? Or the color code of the paint that's on it, if I have to go that route. |

I'm not sure of the part number but there is a new swingarm on e-bay right now. I have no affiliation with it just thought I would pass along the info. Here's a link to it: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4541782165&ca tegory=35562&sspagename=WDVW |

IMO maybe you ought to use this opportunity to upgrade to the new, stiffer aluminum swingarm, maybe polish it or paint to match the frame (titanium?) before bolting it on... |

What my dilema is....I have to have a price to give the insurance adjuster. I need the factory high priced jobby part number, so I can get enough for an aftermarket one! |
