Author Message   Carguyinok Posted on Sunday, March 27, 2005 - 09:06 am:        OK, as many of you know I am putting an X1 tail on my M2. I have worked over the X1 tail with a trim here and a grind there so I dont need to cut into the bikes frame. This way I can put my stock M2 seat and tail back on for longer rides. Anyway, I am looking into a smaller dry/gel cell Batt. for mounting under the tail. I hate the look of that nasty Batt. & homemade looking clamp just out in the open. My first thought was on it's side tucked in just past the oil tank. Another thought was going with an aftermarket oil tank for a sportster and just swap them. Mount the Batt. in the stock oil tank place where its not seen. Then have a good looking/easy to service oil tank in the open.
