Roc, or anyone else looking for super brake pads..

Try Lyndall Racing Brakes
760-726-9012 or Lyndallracingbrakes.com
I have them on my 97 S3...
Fantastic stopping power...(about twice the stock pads)..easy on rotors...easy bedding in....

Tell them Steve Methia from Ma. sent you,
:No I don't work for them!!!

I got info about them from the ATC and was totally impressed with their pads!! Plus the owner is great to talk to!

Out,
Steve

Vr:

Why are you using an S2 header? Is it for clearance issues? Those are hard to come by.

Jmartz, The header was part of the Aerocharger package. I believe it was built for a S2. I didn't notice a diff. The header is modified on the left side for the turbo exhaust inlet tube.

Vr:

Your turbo must be the earlier under the bike model. I always liked it under there a whole lot better than on the side of the bike. Rumor has it that those did not work as well as the newer ones but changing mounting location could not be the cause. Someone told me once that the internal volume of the impeller needs to be properly sized for an engine's displacemnt. Perhaps Aerocharger made that change.
There was a purple '96 S2 here in Atlanta at a local dealer. It never sold until it was about 4 years old. Had some garage rash and faded dull paint as it sat day after day in the elements. The dealer had installed an early style turbo unit in and no one seemed willing to pay 12,500 + 4,500. It finally sold for less than that, maybe 10000 or so. People who rode it would say the power took a long time to come on.

Jose,

I believe that Purple turbo S2 is now owned by the infamous Cap. I believe he paid much less than $12,000.

Dan, I bought the turbo off of Cap, which has disappeared off the face of the earth!
Jose, I did not here the stories of the purple bike. The impeller size diff. is a new one on me also. That would be easy to change would'nt it?
