I found this beautifull X1 at a dealer in France. The exhaust was very nicely formed under the seat. According to the owner it took him MANY days to make it.    "May the Buell be with you" GrizzlyNB (temp. OBCO) | ||

Grizz, That X1 is SWEEEET!! I want so bad to put an underseat exhaust on mine but I just don't have the knowledge or the fabrication facilities to undertake such a task. I keep hoping somebody here(Tat, are you listening) will come out with a system. Dan | ||

Why put 12 pounds up so high? To slow down the transition speed? Looks good though, and it is always better to look good than to feel good! | ||

Benny, I was thinking of trimming the rear seat a bit, but I hadn't thought of trimming the plastic. Post the pics of yours, I'm always looking for more insight.  Skulley, I'll keep an eye out for some unique wheels and a NOS bottle, and I'll see what I can do about removing the fender and polishing the swingarm (could be tricky, have to fill in a reflection), but there ain't no way I'm putting a stretched swingarm on a Buell. It just wouldn't be right. Tripper, With the exhaust mounted that high and that far back I'll bet it helps wheelies as much as it hurts transitions. That exhaust looks awesome! I'm interested in the rest of the bike. Where'd the guage pod come from? How about the airbox? Anyone else wonder if that's a personalized tag? Spike | ||

Spiked, I can't txfer the picture data from my old computer to the new one in order to get it up on site (yes I'm computer illiterate). However, although it looked great with the tail cut down - in real life it would expose too much of the junk underneath the seat so I didn't go there. If I do get the pic sorted I'll post it. | ||

Agstrang - I still really like the fairing on that bike. It reminds me of the Hailwood replica with that same retro style. | ||

Jasonl Yup, it was enough to virtually empty a Ducati showroom yesterday when I parked outside - a few folk made the same comment. Look for a 1970's Rickman fairing, either the top half or the 3/4 type 2 sport fairing. I've also got a 3/4 fairing which I am modifying for winter use. This is costing a fortune in paint... |
