I posted some info in the dyno section. The manifold is based on a stock piece, but modified to match up with the larger S&S ports. Pushrods= S&S adjustable. Fuel injection=stock+ PCII. Starter=stock. S&S limited travel kits in the tappets help out the starting. A S&S air cleaner kit for stock carbs fits fine after you drill a hole for the air temp sensor. I am running a SuperTrapp IDS with 16 disks and an open end cap. That was the best set up with my stock engine. I haven't played with the muffler on the new engine. You can buy all of the parts from S&S for $7700 retail. If you had someone assemble it for you, or didn't use your stock oil pump, starter, cam cover, tappets, primary cover or ?? I could see it costing $9000 or more. The cam cover in the picture is a S&S race item, we'll see how it goes on the street. It is available for '86-90 cam chests only. The cases can be ordered with the 4 speed cam chest and tappet machining. The S&S cases can be confusing, but they offer the best of all the model years.

Those 100" motors were built from scratch, one off(two off in this case). We used no(customers) old parts. All were new(some were very hard to come by). The best of everything went into these motors. I would love to have the twin to Stoners motor in my bike....But, alas, I already have more money in mine than should be allowed. These motors are incredibly kick-ass. If anyone would like some info on the motor...please feel free to e-mail me. Serious offers only please. |
