Hello everyone, I am posting from JAPAN. I purchased 2003 XB9R 2years ago and modified it to XB9S with used rear section parts and front section parts. And I assembled MRA fairing on it for tour purpose preventing from window. Because I have been watching fairing for XB9S at Buell rally and I thought MRA fairing is best. http://www.mrashop.de/mrashop/mra/ebdetails/ebdetailsREADAction.do?kshowdetails=1&kparttype=%281524%2C19%2C0%29&infoSystemStartButton=1&kpartform=%28178%2C20%2C0%29 But another fairing was released about 1years ago. It looks better than MRA screen. This fairing is easy mount to XB9S,XB12S,XB12Ss,XB12Scg. This fairing needs stock XB12R screen when assembled, so you have to buy XB12R screen additionally. Are you interested in this fairing? I will buy it for next.

Here is my 1999 Thunderbolt. I bought it two years ago now, and it has been a daily rider ever since. Runs like a scalded dog with the 1250 kit, XB heads, open air intake, and modified stock muffler by Kevin Drumm (Drummer).

Pic from Laconia 09. We try to represent as much and as many as possible. Buell, Aprilia (it's hiding behind the black RR), BMW, Ducati, Harley, Honda(s), Husaberg, and Kawasaki. We had a Norton but the rain scared him off on Friday when we left.

Looks nice! Why'd you ditch the chin fairing? It looks decent with the race exhaust... |

I don't think that is a race exhaust. |

Thanks Reep. That an elderbrock aka latus I just finished putting on last week: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/327 77/477959.html?1248137394 I havnt decided if I want to make weldable brackets that attach to the muffler or make brackets like my jardine had that bolt to the bike. It still looks cool without the fairing though. |

Duh! (forehead slap). No chin fairing, as the fairing bolts to the exhaust that ain't there How loud is it relative to the factory race pipe? |

Dont know as Ive never heard the race pupe in person. Its maybe 80-90% as loud as the jardine but with a deeper tone. I love it and it should last a very long time. |

Hopefully that front mount doesn't end up shearing exhaust studs. If it does, don't do it like I did it, get the jims tool before you even touch it... |

I feel confident in the welds. It tough to see in the crappy cell phone pics in the link but that front mount has 5 tig welds all around it. Iam going to keep an eye on it though because repairing snapped studs would not be kewl! |
