Mantrap, fabulous Sporty! I love it! I've never been much for the chrome gunk most Harley fans favor. Here's a pic of mine, bought it as an 883 new in '92. Punched out to 1200 with Screamin' Eagle coil, module & air filter; Supertrapp exhaust; dual disk on front; Progressive Suspension shocks & fork springs. Fast for a Sporty, but vibrates like a mutha! Sorry for the OT post guys

Hey Davfl, Great going, man. True USA type craftsmanship on the pipe. Where did you get those cool clamps? JEG'S also? Thanks for post'n your pic, rman |

Jeg's and NAPA both have them. They run about $10 dollars each. By far the best exhaust clamps I have found. |

Tres, I have a System One oil filter on my S2 (well it's been there for 50,000 miles +) and it is one that you can open up and see what is normally trapped inside your oil filter. I am very pleased with it. It originally came from Tilley's shop and is a popular item in NASCAR. From your picture, I could not tell what kind of oil filter is on your X1. 1313 |

Thanks for the info 1313! I'm not sure what type is on it either (the bike is still in transit), the owner did say he's sending me the paperwork for all the goodies though. Wickedflesh, nice looking bike! Who makes your ramp? I like the walk platform that's with it. That looks a lot easier than driving around looking for a little hill so I don't have to make that big step into/ out of the bed! |

Dana...Nothing spectacular. I just really like the classic clean look of Tres' X1. It is "Simplistic Elegance." It smacks of good taste. It is most certainly no cookie cutter sport bike and I like that. Just the right blend of polish and paint. God knows I love the ergo's, power and handling of my X1. Now, I have a concept to work from. |

Bill, thanks for the good words on the X-1! I'd love to take credit for the work, but I bought it just as you see it in the pics. In fact it's not even here yet, it's supposed to arrive sometime before next Tuesday. Metalstorm, thank you! I can take credit for the Sporty at least I did all the work on it (except for the paint which I hired out). The bars are flat drag bars, it's been many years since I put them on but I think I got them at the Harley dealer. Normally they're installed with taller risers, but I left the stock (short) risers on to give it more of a leaned forward riding position. It's a fun bike, but I wish the motor was rubber mounted like the new ones. |

Captainplanet can ya move that first pic of the XB with the S3 bags on it to the XB board with its own thread???? Curious what kind of topic it would be and I wonder how there mounted???Maybe something to think about for some that want to put on some distance. |

The S3 bags look like they'd be uncomfortable for the rider. I bet they rigged a mount using the passenger peg mount points on the tail section. It would seem like the logical location. I would also allow for easy removal of the entire unit when not in use. Were there any pictures from the rear? |
