Damndest thing it was on the X1 files, I found a link to there site and sent away for a catalouge, i remember you saying in one of the sections that you need a belly pan for racing, if you call up Henry Douga at BMC he can send you one that they use for the Pro Thunder Series, it comes clear and paintable and it clears the Swing arm, Shock etc. Here is the link for the M2 belly pan http://www.roadracing.it/ita/homepage.htmlebsite | ||

hmmm the link above??it says too support MicroSoft???I guess you get that if your systems software is not controlled by the man of many fences..Gates! hehehhe Please dont let Buellers use MicroSoft,,there almost otta bizness anyway,Now the subject.I was able finally to ride a Xb9r.I am 6.7 and Big!I weight about 250!! ya so.If you think the Firebolt is too tiny it is because you are not a SportBiker.The Firebolt fits me fine.I want that bike..it is sooo smoothhhhh...hope I am not too strong here I am from Chicagos Southside..but I know what Love is too....hehehhe Vwolf Wcb  | ||

I'm with ya VW. The ergos of the XB9R are no different, size-accommodation wise, than those of an R1 or GSXR1000. Just a little more aggressive peg wise. In fact, the small guys complain about too much weight on the wrists, but the forward lean is perfect for me. | ||

Hi all. Here are two of my 1998 S1 taken this afternoon.   Wishlist / Future mods / mods in progress: 1. A/F meter (autometer type phantom) received last week (o2 sensor prepared, wiring to complete. 2. Oil temp meter (autometer type phantom) on backorder, sensor 2 x one at return to oil tank and one at inline to engine. Use of toggle switch to go back and forth. 3. Change screen for modified Duke II screen, screen received incl. Lens lights. Winter project 4. Fabricate new dash plate for fitting 2 extra meters (2” autometer), located manufacturer ,in discussion . 5. Replace stock handlebar with lower version. (like the one on Peter (PPiA)his S1, looking for dealer that sells this one. This will make up some room for my additional meters 6. Fabricate license plate holder, stainless steel as replacement for current broken up stock holder. (design in progress.) 7. Modify purchased fender eliminator, and make it one piece with tail, is in the works for winter project, thinking about making new tail from fiberglass, got sacrificial tail for mold making. 8. Purchase smaller rear brake reservoir, like the polished one on ASB trying to find out if they ship to Holland, they got more goodies I like. 9. Install X1 swingarm, looking for second hand swingarm to polish. 10. Install my Forcewinder, no time yet to install. 11. Install Dynojet kit, no time yet to install. 12. Install all stainless steel lines for brakes and oil, found a few candidates to make up oil lines for me. 13. Purchase and install Thunderstorm heads, type with temp sensor fitting. Mild porting planned and trying to find out which other parts to install with Thunderstorms. Planned for winter. At the same time have an engine specialist check everything out for wear. 14. Fabricate battery cover from fiberglass or aluminium., design in progress. 15. Change out front disk and rotor for later version. 16. Purchase rear set, not sure which one yet. 17. Buy PM wheels, low priority 18. Buy polished oil tank, low priority 19. Buy frame brace, low priority 20. Cut down cam cover, low priority 21. Buy a nice front sprocket cover or fabricate one from aluminium. 22. Overhaul front forks by WP, no complaint yet but I believe in planned maintenance. 23. Fresh custom paint job for all body parts, probably black with pearl under, Low priority. 24. Purchase race header 2.5” and have it jethot coated, low priority Well that’s about it, still plenty of work to do. I am sure it will keep me busy for another 2 years. Fresh Peter said he thought his bars probably came from AFAM, you can check out their site at AFAMUSA.com ,they show some specs on rise,bend,pullback,etc.They are aluminum+come in several anodized colors. $52.95 US. $6.92 shipping(to Ohio,who knows to Holland)They answered my e:mail in 2 days though. Blake/Jrh, Yes it looks tight on the picture. Funny you mention, i checked yesterday because i thought it was too loose, it checked out ok though. Thx. Jrh, yes i read the post, trying first in Holland, since Peter his S1 is from Holland also and i think Hein put it on in the first place. Like to avoid buying in USA, takes too long and customs suck. Still drooling over some of the ASB stuff, i send an email to them to confirm if they ship to Holland. Then compile a list and buy big to get it over with. Rgds, Fresh | ||

Peter, Can you confirm wich type you have from this link: http://www.afamusa.com/handlebars/streetbars.html i have to check some dimensions to see if it will fit: a.) my bloody doorway, having trouble getting the bike in and out of the cellar, scratched front fender this morning. b. my planned new dash for additional meters.I need some more space in the flat area of the handle bar. The series La Femme Nikita was the first to use Buells in a television show. Michael rode both an S-1 and an S-3 at different times...the S-3 was in the finale I believe. Too bad the show ended, would have been great with a Firebolt. Bob | ||

Fresh, I'll measure it later for you. p.s. you wanna exchange swingarms ??? I have actually been toying with that idea for a while. When Hein originaly built it, he had some insurance money and didn't know which way to jump. I kept telling him "turbo and six-speed", but he went SSSA and rim brakes. I've organised the turbo, but I sometimes think of selling the SSSA so I can buy a six-speed. But then again, it would be nice to buy a six-speed and keep it as a hamburger-with-the-lot too..... Peter, I appreciate it, thx. 6 speed, i have been lusting over that one too. If you run a turbo wouldn't you really require a 6 speed, dang even on my stock s1 i feel i keep shifting when i hit it hard, it goes so fast up through the gears. I got a beautiful mpeg of a turbo bike hitting it hard, wheelie over 200 kpm, this guy is a maniak going through the gears with his front wheel never touching the ground. If you have a fast internet connection i can mail it to you its about 2.5 megs Regards, Fresh ps, if you can get away with it cost wise, keep the swingarm, i think when you are finished you got the best looking bike around with hopefully great performance. ps2, even now i think you got one of the best looking bikes. | ||

Here is a picture of my next project:  I'm going to replace the old style Primary Chain tensionier and switch to Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil and gear lube. I'm working on getting a new style front muffler bracket. Stay tuned for a complete report. | ||

The XB flame slider is connected to a welded on threaded tube to the bottom of the frame/tank. If you're going to add one, be certain of the abilities of the welder. | ||
