I'm trying to figure out how much MSNBC costs, and if I can afford it. I'm planning on switching the content to sci-fi movies, and retaining some of the current "talent" to an ongoing updated long form version of the radio play of War Of The Worlds, per Orson Welles. Every day they'd "report" on the devastation the Martians are causing in Europe, Canada, and the U.S., using current video of Hate riots, assaults, etc. The talking heads would have green screen Windows looking out over the city behind them, while Tripods wreck famous buildings with their heat rays. Not one word on actual news or identifying the footage verbally, since the "talent" doesn't get to see any. The disaster footage would be uncut and labeled straight from the AP & international news, but the monologue will be scripted Martian Invasion purely. I think ratings would soar. |
