Regarding moldless composites, a friend's dad was making a sail plane 40 years ago by carving Styrofoam to shape, laying fiberglass over that, then melting the foam out IIRC with gasoline. I didn't think to ask what the residue was and how he disposed of it.
The gasoline trick works with gasoline safe epoxy, not all are. It's a great way to make odd shaped fuel tanks to fit places.
The question of what to do with the gasoline, isn't new. It's now contaminated & will gel, so you don't want to clog a carb or fuel injection, and it leaves nasty burnt plastic deposits.
But any reasonably safety oriented pyromaniac, if such exists, can find use for jellied gasoline in taking out hornet nests and starting brush piles in the rain.
Although I suggest using a BB gun to shatter the beer bottle ( easier to break than wine ) placed carefully in the top of a brush like instead of throwing it Molotov cocktail style.
Note to web guy, great job on some bit of code! After I paste in the link, then type the YouTube embed part, it automatically highlights the part of the link needed. I just found that out after choosing to post the link, then the embedded part, after complaints that some browsers didn't play the embedded videos. ( so it could have been that clever all along, unlike me )
Thanks!
As to the video...
The reasons the Government Agencies list the average temperature in such precise number, to 2 decimal places?
One is the inevitable way averaging works. If you measure (any thing ) at, say, 3,6,& 5? 3+6+5=14 14\3=4.666667 ish. Even if you're rounding to the closest round number, you get impossible precision. It's an artifact that you just accept & understand if you're math literate.
Two, it's faking more precision that actually possible to measure to pretend they're actually that good at measuring temperatures.
Because they're lying to you. Knowing they're lying is based upon multiple factors, not just that math artifact, to be clear.
Three. They're lying to you.
The Late Jerry Pournelle, scientist, writer, describes how NASA wanted to measure the temperature of a human in their heating/cooling testing chambers. For measuring how effective a space suit, or heck, a hoodie, protected the wearer.
Traditionally you measure a human's internal temperature by sticking a thermometer into one or more orifices. Insert joke here. But that just gets a spot temp, which doctors and scientists have decided and calculated is close enough, for diagnostic reasons. They even apply a correction factor depending on which end of your food processing system is used. It's rough, but usually close enough for medical purposes.
But there's some serious problems with sticking multiple thermometers in a human body to heat map it and get a better accuracy. Our topology is roughly a one hole thing, like a donut or coffee cup. Poking other holes is highly problematic, and inserting probes down/through the existing "hole" is at least psychologically traumatic, or dramatic, or humorous, your pick.
But despite the Hanson & Obama era shift in priority of NASA to promoting the Climate Con & making Muslims happy about their role in advancing science, the old NASA wasn't stupid. Or at least the test subjects were only willing to take limited intrusions in the literal sense.
So, the task became measure the temperature of a small room they wanted to test people in.
And there were practical limits to that problem. How to measure the temperature of the air, which varies, in the whole room, without literally filling it with thermometers, leaving no air, so you only get readings on a bunch of points in a pile of thermometers?
And it's not even quantum physics that just a LOT of thermometers in a grid, in a room, change the temperature of the air in it.
The whole planet? And known political liars and thieves? Ha!
I assumed it was popularized by a Bolshevik revolutionary named Molotov, maybe the guy with the treaty with Ribbentrop. It seems unlikely that he would have been allowed to live from 1917 to 1940 or whenever, though.
It does have to do with Molotov who did the pact with the Nazis to divide Poland and the Nazi conquered Eastern European countries between Germany and the Soviets.
But it was the Finns who coined the phrase, they were being bombed by the Soviets, and Molotov told the world the Soviets were dropping food to stop a famine, while it was explosives and steel to kill Finnish Citizens.
Throwing fire bombs at invading Soviet tanks and troops, they called them Molotov cocktails as a sarcastic way of pointing out that the Soviets and Molotov lie.
And they always have, always do, and always will, despite changing names and losing full power, temporarily.
I'm not saying all Russians are liars. Just all Commies, everywhere, every time.
Same game now, they are calling the invasion and subjugation of Ukraine a liberation, but it is just a land/resource grab. Communists lie. It is the only way to get people on their side. Only fools believe a commie.
It is not pact to divide Poland, it is pact to returning the Russian land back to Russia. You use wrong terms as usual.
Russia has too much land and resources and Ukraine lost their sovereignty so it is not a simple land grab. The land and resources is just a bonus.
I know you hate Russia gets such bonus but it is what it is.
If you feel you want to put your life to interrupt Russia gets such bonus feel free to join the Ukrainian nazis, they will gladly send you straight under the Russian bombs strikes.
Good luck to proove 8 years of the Ukrainian nazy terror in Donbass is a lie.
Does not get any more blatant than this. All they have to do is submit the transcripts into evidence, and make sure they do not get a left wing judge. If they get a shit judge, they will win on appeal.
Remember, the World record holder for continuous time in orbit was a Russian Astronaut.
Valeri Polyakov
That record was not his choice, they had some budget problems after the fall of the second most murderous Empire in history, and the KGB officers stole so much wealth to become the Oligarch class.
Of course, that is an oversimplification about the economic rape of the old Soviet Empire, but is adequate to describe the really nice guy stuck in space on Mir.
oh, do not get me wrong, the Russians have a record in space that is something to be proud of. I begrudge them nothing. Cooperation in space is one thing the US and Russia are good at.
Putin is truly a hero. He saved the lives of the USA astronauts. They would simply die without Putin because of USA has no ability to return them back.
Troll, the astronauts who came back on the Russian craft were scheduled to come back on that craft. The astronauts stranded by Boeings penchant for hiring based on immutable characteristics vs capability are being rescued by spacex. If you could read, you would know that.
Not that the Russians could not do it, they are just not scheduled to. The Russians are really good at space tech.
Putin is really good at space tech. USA was not able to return the USA astronauts because of they found critical failure with helium leakage in their craft. So Putin returned the USA astronaut back.
Putin not only defends the people from the Ukrainian nazis but also rescues the USA astronauts even after USA started the war in Ukraine against Russia sponsoring the terrorists and killing people in Ukraine.
Putin is like a Jesus, that's crazy!
USA wasted more money than the whole space station cost to support killing the people in Ukraine. USA could build their own space station using those money but decided to waste them supporting the Ukrainian terrorists instead. And Putin still forgives you! What a Man!
Campfire smoke would have wiped us out hundreds of thousands? years ago. If the lungs hadn't had a system to self clean.
But that's not unlimited. That's why the Biolite stove company is trying to sell low smoke stoves to replace dung fires in houses for cooking. Smoke indoors is hard to avoid, can't just change where you sit like around an outdoor fire.
Cigarettes are deadly because of the cumulative Carbon Monoxide poisoning and the nicotine blood vessel constriction. When used to excess. ( in combination with diet/metabolic quirk that clogs arteries aka cholesterol? )
Vapes substitute excess moisture and mold? for the CO poisoning, according to government reports, which are always suspect.
At least that's the current guess. Officially.
You need apparently, the right genetic mix and cumulative effects from environmental impact. That's how you get athletes who don't smoke get heart attacks and it's a surprise.
There are a few drug results that can be causal. EPO to boost red blood cells for endurance racing, plus dehydration from extreme exercise and high sustained heart effort pumping thick blood has killed several bicycle racers from heart attacks. Meth, ( speed/stimulants including caffeine ) plus other factors from overclocking. Etc.
And as we know, California causes cancer. ( that's why substances that don't everywhere else have warnings there! )
I have a small investment in a company that directly extracts lithium from brine without having to use evaporation pools. They essentially filter it out. This is a heck of a find, though, from what I understand, most fracking water has been found to contain recoverable quantities of Lithium.
