Because I'm not "supposed" to be armed at work, I never forgot and tried to carry through security. Except the time I forgot I had a 1 1/2" folding knife and had it confiscated at the airport while traveling. Getting a security cordon thrown up around me in civilian life? Yeah, a couple of times. The weirdest/funniest has to be when I was at a multi era historical reenactment event while I was talking to a Civil War reenactor friend. These "men in black" sunglasses guys are doing their sweep and stop to just stare at us with a real cannon, dressed in, respectively, Union uniform and 14th century steel plate armor, with pistol, saber, & poleaxe. "Is that real?" One asked. My friend told them, "Oh, yes. This is the safest place in the State before you guys got here." Points at me, " You think a guy dressed like that isn't ready to rescue a Damsel in distress?". | ||

Now I haven't kept count of Clinton business friends who committed suicide or died of "natural causes", that were suspicious, aka "had evidence to convict..." , but 52 is either too many or a serious undercount? I laughed, but I don't believe it. Despite the joke above. I have a pretty low opinion about Walz's character, and belief system, and ... So it's easy to believe the story about Walz flipping the bird. But... Any nasty story today about a politician could be fake. And either side might put a fake out there. Their enemies for obvious reasons and their minions to discredit their enemies. It's never been more important to be skeptical. | ||

I can't argue with the advice for travelers. I wouldn't go solo in formerly British neighborhoods in the U.K.... And there's a Lot of Europe an unaccompanied woman isn't safe.
