No longer going to be an HD dealer. Property sold to an auto dealer conglomerate. They wanted to buy it as an HD dealership, but HD hit them with "you need to upgrade signage, displays, lighting, cosmetics, etc to bring up to our current design requirements"....they analyzed the numbers and said "nope". So, the owner is still retiring, the sale is going through....but no HD franchise included, just the building/facility, and used bike inventory. Everything factory HD, is going back to the MoCo starting on Weds morning. The new owners are keeping the staff on board...everyone is happy to have a job, but they admit "we don't know what the hell we're going to be doing"! So, if you're in the Frederick area and you want genuine factory stuff....either get there before 6pm Tuesday and hope they have it in stock...or get used to going to Gettysburg, or Chambersburg, or Rockville. |

Ah; but the shoe salesman knows how to run a motorcycle manufacturing business! (And as the water in the bowl goes down, the turd spins faster and faster) |

Sad. Just really sad. HD sure knows how to shoot itself right in the D**k. This is a loss for not only the customers, but for the sure to be eventually laid off employees, the community, and the country as a whole. I wonder how many hits HD inflicts on itself before an inevitable complete collapse. |
