https://www.tabletmag.com/sections/news/articles/t reason-science-journals As I've often said in the Science thread, one of the downsides of dishonest people making false claims is the destruction of trust. Not just trust in authority, which should always be tempered with reason, but trust in rationality and the scientific method. If the UNIPCC announced they had a prediction of a hyper volcanic eruption in the Pacific, and all the Pacific Rim nations needed to begin evacuation inland? They've never told the truth before, or made an accurate prediction, no matter what the Washington Post says, so why believe them now? And I'm sure many suspect that fall of 2024 will have reports of a killer flu and the election will be by phone. You know, to avoid any questions of it's accuracy. ( just because the mandatory app was from the unquestionable Dominion Corp & Facebook, proves it's unbiased perfection! ) Or I could make up some wild and unlikely event... |

I don't have the reference handy, but we dodged a Big Bullet in 2019-20. It will probably never be admitted if the strain that infected that Doctor and got loose in the wild was the strain we American taxpayers paid for, but a different strain that hasn't, yet, escaped, killed 70%+ of the lab rats on first test. ( this is from memory, so I could be off on the numbers ) Without utterly unethical human testing, I don't know what the mortality rate on the "other" engineered bat coronavirus would have been, but a 50% kill ratio and the 40% effective experimental vaccine, works out to Black Death in Europe civilization wrecker. I try to keep in mind that while it's very "valuable" science to make biological weapons in order to test new ways to fight them, the REASON that research is banned in civilized countries by sane people is the high risk of a bioweapon escaping and murdering millions of people. You, know, like Fauci is probably responsible for. The total kill of the mRNA vaccine is not going to be known for years, and then only with some serious lawsuits and probably a coup. ( wish I was joking ) I never expected, nor claimed, that any vaccine is 100% safe. Last admitted figure I read was 4.2% "serious side effect" rate, which is higher than the under 1% fatality rate, but like I said, the long term numbers just aren't available, and won't be accurate for years, yet. https://www.allergy.org.au/hp/papers/vaccination-o f-the-egg-allergic-individual far less than a 1% fatality rate from egg allergies, but not Zero. As George Carlin said, "Saliva causes cancer, but only when swallowed in small amounts over a long period of time" And as we all know, California causes cancer. |

https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2023/09/the -pusher.php Some are looking forward to the next booster. To be fair, I can still sing cigarette commercials. My favorite is still the song that heavily implied oral sex, which was SOOO appropriate for the oral fetish of cigarettes. Advertising works! And so much better than tyranny at selling products, at least morally. Sorta. It's still evil if you don't disclose reality to allow Informed Consent. A simple admission that there's a chance of deadly and permanently crippling side effects would be all it takes to switch from Satanic monsters to honest salesman. Oh, and admitting to bring a paid shill for the Pharmaceutical company. If they just said, that they got millions to sell you the Product, it would greatly increase trust in their commercial. Otoh, that's not going to happen so they're not trustworthy. At all. Not worth believing in any detail. |

https://www.city-journal.org/article/more-mask-hys teria You know, they Might increase mask wearing if they pimped it as a macho body building exercise like cardio training at high altitude and said it was so stressful it was too dangerous for pregnant women. A committed Eugenics fan can rationally AND HONESTLY argue that N95 mask wearing culls the weak and stupid! ( OSHA regulations require people who wear N95 masks at work to complete a training course because of cardiac stress and sudden death effects. People with Cardio Pulmonary Disease are especially at risk. ) I do maintain that wearing even a ( now forbidden in many places ) cloth mask slows germ spread because it slows your spray to a smaller zone of potential infectious diseases. You can argue public execution discouraged pickpockets, too. But I really recommend against attending the public executions, since they are happy hunting grounds for pickpockets with tight packed crowds of distracted people. Not all "logical solutions" actually are effective . |

Do you even READ any of the crap you post? From the Pirola article: Though scientists believe that Pirola is unlikely to cause a devastating wave of severe disease and death, it still remains a variant of concern due to high mutations in the strain. And that's a general rule for viruses - mutations get more contagious, and LESS dangerous, as they mutate. It is how they survive. Deadly viruses kill their hosts, which also kills the virus - and that's counterproductive for the virus. But a thinking person already knows this. |

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/saraharnold/2023/11/ 11/florida-lawyers-work-to-put-fauci-behind-bars-n 2631091 As usual I don't trust the reports that remdesiver had 58%???? bad reactions in testing. You'd have to be so stupidly evil to promote a drug that bad that you'd pay tax dollars to do dangerous research on bat viruses and risking the resulting genetically engineered diseases to escape the lab and kill millions. And what kind of hubristic, psychopathic, Tom Clancy novel supervillain would do that? So murder charges seem like hype, as well as unlikely. |

Horse tranquilizers! No, wait, that's wrong... Stay hydrated! ( always safe except for real idiots who try to drink 8 gallons a day instead of glasses. See note 1 ) Chicken soup works. Hydrate and fuel and rest, let your immune system work. Vitamin C & D help. Note 1. Human needs vary. If you're doing heavy exercise and like me sweat heavy, you should drink enough not to get especially thirsty. Marathon runners, ditch diggers, gardening, etc. If you blindly follow the sports pundits you can even kill yourself with low electrolyte imbalance. I'd say "listen to your body" but thirst tends to lag behind need. I've been treating heat and dehydration problems for decades with martial arts and endurance sports. You don't get "damn, I'm thirsty!" until you're pretty far down the dehydration road. "Hydrate or die" is a legit mantra. And fueling endurance efforts is completely different than being sick or normal life. There's a whole industry making sports fuel products specifically for endurance sports like 100+ mile bicycle races. Designing easy digest sugar food that won't make you sick and let you grind out effort for hours. Real medical science. The opposite of diabetes prevention diet! |

Whoo! Hooo! Tested Positive! Huh? That's bad? Oh. Friday felt chilled after morning coffee, so curled up with electric blanket and felt fine. Later in afternoon ran errands and got chilled again, maybe fever? Tested negative. Saturday was a just stay warm and rest day, typical but very mild cold symptoms, tested positive this morning. Felt fine by then, also typical of my usual pattern with colds. So, self isolate and use the excuse to accomplish major low effort task like sort paperwork to be shredded and rebox/label the dozen project piles cluttering my space. Will report back if become zombie aka worship AOC, or develop superpowers. |

And... Pretty much official now. Reporting shut down in China on their new children's pneumonia epidemic. WHO, has set a 24 hour deadline or China to share information. In my not so humble opinion that's just the WHO trying to pretend that they aren't a propaganda arm of the CCP. This has been reported on for days from peripheral news/media sources, but the crackdown on reporting shows without doubt there's a real problem. And while Covid-19 was a mediocre Senior killer, pneumonia in children is both more frightening, ( assuming you're from a civilized society that has logical and human priorities ) and potentially much worse. ( for society, evolutionary view, or humane thinking ) Scary, hope it's not going to spread. Luckily, we have I Am Science still in Media Agitprop circulation, so when he gets interviewed we'll get a pretty reliable Lie to base our thinking on. |
