We have a brewery here in St. Louis called Wellbeing brewery. I've had some of their beer but it was just okay IMO. Clausthaler is probably the most well known and one I can drink.
I had an Athletic Brewing IPA last night; it was decent.
A few years ago over several months I went through a couple of 6 packs of a Brewdogs NA stout. I did not care for it much. It had decent flavor but the mouthfeel was watery. I have not tried other NA stouts to confirm this, but I suspect darker beers may not work as well in NA varieties.
Back when I was in a bar dart league, I would start out with a regular beer and then switch to O'Doul's. The strategy worked because by the end of the night I was one of the few still capable of hitting the board.
At a recent food truck rodeo Heineken was giving out samples of their alcohol-free beer which wasn't bad. And many years ago I was attending the BMW National Rally in Lima, OH. Apparently the vendor providing the beer for the on-site "Beer Tent" gave them cases of a non-alcoholic beer as a promotional gimmick. The rally decided to give that away while selling the "leaded" variety. Being the cheapskate that I am, I just drank the non-alcoholic stuff (hell, they were even charging for the soda). I just can't remember what it was...
Clausthaler is a good one, I tried that for the first time recently.
Hugh, I haven't tried the Althetic Brewing IPA. I have tried the Lagunitas IPNA, and it was okay. Actually I tried one out in California, and it was better than the one I had in Arkansas. Turns out they have two Breweries, one in CA and one in Illinois, I'm wondering if there is a difference for some reason. I think you're right concerning the Stouts, but I'd still like to try one. Thanks for the list!
Jamiec, Good strategy! It's always better to stay a little more sober than the other guy lol. Heineken Zero is okay, not my favorite, but okay. Free beer?! Got to like that.
Thanks for all your input fellows, I appreciate it!
Jaimec mentioned O'doul's. I didn't care for it but they used to make an O'doul's Amber. That was pretty decent. It at least had some malt flavor! Bitburger makes a beer called Fun. A friend bought some while in Germany and although it tasted fine, it wasn't much FUN!
Closest place that sells it is hundreds of miles away...
Wow- I live in rural South Carolina and my local Food Lion had it in stock. I had 2 tonight. You would be hard pressed to tell it is not the standard version. It was much better than the previous NA stout I had had. I will definitely get more of it.
One good thing about NA beer- I believe it can pretty much be shipped anywhere. Maybe you can mail order it?

Beer is no longer pasteurized after bottling. For a NA beer, this means it was bottled with bacteria. No human pathogen can exist in alcohol, even low concentrations. Beer is the way our ancestors preserved food and made water safe to drink.
Shame on all of you for bastardizing a gift from God.
I looked and found I can get it from Amazon. About $30 for four cans. Maybe I'll ask the nearest liquor store if they can get some in at a better price.

Yea, that's crazy. I paid $8.49 for a 4-pack. I bet you can find someplace that already carries Guinness that could get it for you.
