So, I've had my LLC for about 10 years now. Things are going...well enough that I can consider bagging the day job, and just living off the LLC income. But, that means carrying my own health insurance. Anyone out there source their own insurance? I prefer NOT to do the .gov thing if possible. I'm healthy, active, good weight, don't drink, don't smoke, nothing chronic, no regular medications other than multivitamins and a baby aspirin every day - so relatively "low risk" for whomever underwrites my policy... Just curious if anyone else is set up this way. Thanks for any info! |

I'm on Medicare, so no real help. Have GOP reforms weakened Obamacare to allow catastrophic insurance with a big deductible? There might be a downside that when you get older and needing to see docs more, it'll be more expensive to get insured more conventionally. I'd ask my insurance agent what he has for this. |

JOE I had Liberty health share, its reasonably priced. if you are doing this for a "legal requirement" check first, if its for a back stop vs regular health insurance I would look at it or similar. I had kidney cancer a few years back and liberty saved my bacon. in any event I would read closely on any insurance, as they are in business to make money not help you. |
