^ Yea, from I gathered on X yesterday, the booster explosion was not due to FTS, but the S25 explosion was, and it occurred only a few seconds before the engines would have been shut down. Speculation is B9 decelerated more rapidly than expected after stage separation resulting in propellant "sloshing" which would have caused fluid hammer effects, possibly rupturing piping or the tanks themselves. Musk has already said the pad is in excellent condition and they will have the hardware ready for the next launch in 3-4 weeks. I imagine the paperwork may take longer, but hopefully not nearly as long as it did for this launch. (Message edited by Hughlysses on November 20, 2023) |

I missed the live event, but caught the recording. Each time they do something they get better. Space X is the Skunkworks of our time! they make progress, way faster than nasa. Now if the FAA and fish and game folks will get out of the way and let these folks work.. Man I wish I was young and had the chops to work with that group, what an amazing job it would be. |

^ They have been using the term "RUD" for quite a few years now. |

well, I'll be the first to admit that I haven't followed SpaceX closely... just typically browse their headlines... |
