Damn! I had a nice, long post all typed up. I even checked my spelling and punctuation, then I had to log in and poof! Gone. I'm not going to re-write it but the last line was a good one- Walter Cronkite and Dan Rather are gone and the news is now a powerful tool. Maybe we should remove the news and leave the guns in the hands of law abiding citizens. In fact, the fed should supply our ammunition. | ||

And people wonder why I carry, when I "just" work a day job, and "just" do sound for concerts. "Nothing will happen there!". You just never know. I'd rather be prepared, and I suggest EVERYONE ELSE do the same. | ||

Not exactly on point, but appropriate for this thread, take some time and search youtube for Polk County Florida Sheriff Grady Judd. During a press conference reference a resident shooting a burglar during a home invasion robbery, he stated to the effect that he encouraged residents to do that. He called out the media for not showing the faces of under 18 yr old violators, and proceeded to show the faces of the minors involved in shooting one of his deputies. Or when explaining a point, he stated that " Right now I am as sober as most judges". The man is not afraid to call a spade a shovel . . . . . | ||

Per Fox News one hour ago, a legally armed woman in Raleigh NC shot and killed an aggressor man trying to force his way into her car. Prosecutor says no charges to be filed, in what apparently started as a road rage incident. | ||

Akbuell is right! Grady Judd is awesome. I have friends in Polk County Florida. While there Judd was being interviewed and he asked people to buy a gun, learn how to use it, get a permit to carry it and if someone tries to hurt you I want you to shoot them. Shoot them a lot! Shoot them till you can read the newspaper through them!!! |
