Last second effort, but I was assuming the Buell/EBR event at Barber in Alabama originally scheduled for May 19-21 would take priority. But since that has been delayed and I'm still planning to head to Wisconsin the week before the MotoAmerica races at Road America, I figured I'd post up to see if anybody planning to be in the area might be interested in getting together. I PLAN to arrive in East Troy by Tuesday, May 30. On Wednesday, I'm planning to head to the Volo Auto Museum, about 50 minutes away. Thursday I'll be hanging out in the East Troy, enjoying Gus's cuisine. Friday I'll be heading to Road America for the MotoAmerica racing the balance of the weekend. If anybody would happen to be there or would like to tag along, post up. Otherwise I'll see you when I see you! | ||

This seems to be getting LOTS of traction! Well, if anybody in the area wants to get together, post up here or send me a PM. I'm game for company going to the Volo Museum on Wednesday or getting a milkshake at Gus's Wednesday or Thursday. I'll certainly be at the MotoAmerica races starting Friday thru the weekend and am up for a rendezvous at the track for a burger, beer, beverage...or in Elkhart Lake after. I'll check in with some of you locals in the meantime. I know you're out there! | ||

Say Hi to my mom!  Wish I could make it, but too much going on here to head up this weekend. I, too, hope to check out Volo again the next time I'm up there. I will be heading up there sometime this year on 2 wheels, just have some things to square up before I am able to. | ||

Its too bad Homecoming sort of died, I looked forward to it every year, I had sort of planned the Barber trip for this year and had to cancel that too. I guess Homecoming could be considered another casualty of Covid, and circumstance. I'm glad to see Dennis is keeping it on life support for this year, I hope we can revive it for next year. | ||

I'm always open to meet up in East Troy, especially in conjunction with the racing at Elkhart Lake. Buell owners have gatherings elsewhere, and Buell motorcycles are now made in Grand Rapids, so there's that bit of conflicting reality for a HOMEcoming. I'll still think of East Troy/Mukwonago as "home" for Buell/EBR motorcycles, like the area and enjoy time spent there. So if there are any other Buell/EBR folks interested in meeting up for a milkshake at Gus's next week, post up. I'll be there regardless. | ||

Is Buell/EBR ever going to promote an event in the Midwest again? Like the old Buell company did? maybe they think they should wait and get some more sales before something like that. really think the neg ones need to get over the neg crap about it. | ||

FWIW the current Buell staff had a Homecoming event in Grand Rapids last summer that I attended. There were quite a few folks there, and they had tours of the production line, etc, as well as entertainment and a food truck. My personal opinion about any group activity (not just Buell/EBR) is that there are so many platforms via social media that in order to get the word out, you need to somehow link a bunch of threads. Buell/EBR folks have at LEAST a dozen on Facebook. I stick to this one, since it typically has the least amount of BS that accompanies requests for advice or tech knowledge. I'm heading to Wisconsin tomorrow, so if anybody I haven't heard from will be there, post here or PM me. | ||

I'm around, just not on 2 wheels for awhile longer according to my physical therapist... Didn't say I couldn't drink milkshakes wither fellow Buellers though. I'll be around for the week and at Road America on Saturday. | ||

I just did a track day at Road America with Zars yesterday. My first track day in several years. The first day with my 1125 cr on track. I need to thank Eric & team for building a great bike! First time over 150mph....in control without wings & propellers! A great improvement from pushrod motors. Can't wait to run my 1190 racer another step up in performance. RA has been repaved last year, if anyone has not herd. It's soooo nice & smooth! Unfortunately, doing that removed alot of the reference points to run it. However, didn't take long to build new points into memory. Tire life is much better now, I expect new lap records set this weekend. 🤗 I now live in Elkhart Lake area, moved hear from Grand Rapids, to be around Buell Family & ride. Unfortunately, LAP moves Buell at same time....to GR! If anyone is interested, a great local bar / restaurant is Marytown tap, for Friday fish dinners. Throttlestop is a great local museum - sales consignment location... open house on Saturday night! Band, beer & bikes! Howdy! I am having my X1 refined and retuned at Aagaard Moto Foundry in Janesville WI. I am planning on going to RA for the Sunday races... not in the Buell. I met some of the new Buell factory guys from MI, when l went to Daytona Bike Week this year, back in March. They are open to a meeting, factory tour or so, if we plan it. Just something to share. Also, l told them to print t-shirts with the logo and a: "We don't care how they do it in Milwaukee!" :-) | ||

Canario: Fixing that carb from last year?  Curious if the GR Buell folks would support an East Troy event or just Grand Rapids. I attended their Michigan event last year and it was fine, but obviously lacked the "old school" ambiance. Gotta start somewhere, and play the cards you're dealt! Just finished a cheeseburger and shake at Gus's with Twirlin and his wife. I'm about 10 lbs heavier than I was when I arrived, but gained the weight from healthy meals while in good company, including the Twirlins, Coolice and Kim!
