Phil Read is the most successful British GP racer ever. Second only to Agostini in their era. Son Phil Read Jr raced a Buell for Trojan Horse / Adrenalin Moto in the UK, often talked about here back when......... Disbelieving he went to the race track in the sky this week and not a mention at all on BadWeB. So I thought I'd mention it. https://www.motorsportmagazine.com/articles/motorc ycles/phil-read-mbe-1958-2022-obituary Rocket in England |

Thanks for the link, Rocket. Your post was the first I'd heard of Read's passing. |

>>> Don't get here often these days. Well, we don't talk motorcycles anymore. I appreciate you trying to get a good conversation going, but no, not all that much. And it's a bummer. With Buell no longer in existence, HD being HD, not many builders to get pumped up about and more and more manufacturers getting things built in China, it's hard for me and others to get excited. Still, it's nice to see some still posting motorcycle content, good on ya! |

Really is a shame . . but with Buell now 13 years gone, the once vibrant and motorcycle enthusiast dialogue seems to have left with it. I had a nice dialogue last night with one of the original old times and even though our time has passed . . . man oh man . . . was it a great ride. Amazing people, places and machines. Kinda neat to have been paid to ride Buells in 44 states and two make friends from so many countries. I enjoy seeing the continuing UKBOG enthusiasm and hearing from "old timers". |

News flash!!! Does the BadWeB community not accept Buell in its current form then as this would be confusing. https://www.buellmotorcycle.com/ Rocket in England |

I accept Buell in it's current form. I wish them success, and hope they do very well. That said, it is highly unlikely I will ever own one from them. The price is out of my range, and I'd want a Uly type adventure bike; the one they were working on last time I checked was hideous. |

Yep, just checked out the site. Their Super Touring Adventure Bike is still listed. And still ugly as ever. I get function being important. And I can go along with some function over form, but that's a front end only the designer could love. |
