Not posted in a while, still have three of the Buells (only ever had these three ha), but, sadly, not ridden one in a while. I STILL need to sort the one 1125R from where I, likely, popped a fuse or something when I wasnt paying attention and hooked up the charging cables to the wrong posts... I know, foolish. I can disassemble an engine and put it back together, do all these various mods to my S3...and then to get clumsy and not go black to black/red to red. ANYWAY It's exam day here at school (whole week, actually) and Ive got some extra time and Ive been riding my 1974 TS100 Suzuki and loving it, but wanting something 'bigger' and more powerful. So Im going to get the 1125R back up and going. Still have the crashed 1125R I picked up from a member and need to do something with it, looking for ideas what to do with the powertrain. Interesting to see that "Buell" is back and making bikes. Wild. Hope yall are all doing well, even Blake (  ). Keep the rubber down, see yall around the forum. | ||

Hey, Hybrid. Good to see you’re still kicking. Buells in the Alps 12 is coming up in a couple of months. Maybe you can ride up to Little Switzerland on one of those Buells and hang out a while. | ||

You may have messed up a relay with the reversed polarity. Had a friend put the wrong battery in an XB. Reversed polarity took out one of his relays. | ||

@ourdee Any idea which relay and where it's located? @Hugh - no way I can make that. Im working just before that and then I'll be slammed with getting the wedding ready - that's when I get married, first of August. | ||

I am hard to get hold of Basically it blows fuses because of reversed terminal connections other than back wards battery how would you do that, there is no extra wire on an 1125 .. | ||

Last guy I knew that hooked up an XB reverse polarity got lucky and just messed up a relay. | ||

It was me, foolishly, hooking up the battery tender wrong. I wasnt paying attention (I know, I know...) and clipped them in wrong and plugged it in. It likely is just a relay, though Im not sure which it'd be and not dove into that yet. I agree though - there is NO extra wire on the 1125, it's hard as heck to get that battery in and out, too. | ||

@ourdee - do you know what relay he fried by doing that? I need to look into this, the wife is interested in riding 'the big motorcycle' this year. My other street-legal bike is a 1974 TS100 Suzuki. A whopping 11hp, I love it, but it's slow(ER) when youre 2-up on it.haha So she's a bit interested in seeing what the Buell is like. |
