Thanks for the tip! I've been underwhelmed a bit by taking the HBOMax 'scrip... I'm always jonesing for some good action-comic stuff or some honestly GOOD sci-fi. Dune got me into this, so I'll stick with it for a bit. I'll check things out for that soon.
Doom Patrol is another bonkers series on that channel. DC's Doom Patrol was actually the inspiration for Marvel's X-Men... a genius confined to a wheelchair assembles a bunch of outcasts with special abilities. You should definitely check that one out.
That was amazing! I had to force myself NOT to binge watch the three episodes that were released so far. I'll watch one a week to stretch it out. That opening theme sequence/dance number was also GREAT.
I also started watching "Young Justice," a DC Animated series. In a lot of ways the DC Animated Universe is so much better than a lot of their live action shows.
Anyway, just based on this first episode I hope they have lots of seasons of Peacemaker!
I ended up watching the first two episodes! Pretty dang funny! I never really liked Deadpool... too over the top and they defeated the 4th wall and shiite. Peacemaker appeals greatly to my generally bent sense of humor. Kinda like SpaceGhost and ATHF. Gotta love me some Meatwad... not to mention Robot Chicken.
I'll be watching the 3rd episode this evening. Thanks for the heads-up, Jaime! I'll see if I can shoot you something that will tickle your funnybone. Being John Malkovich comes to mind... HEY!
Have you seen "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen"? If you're a Monty Python fan, 100% fresh tomatoes for you on that one! Starts slow... M was lost in the first 15 minutes, not her kind of movie. Once it gets going... Fkin A! Heck, I remember old British humor going back to The Young Ones and Benny Hill.
M is gone for her league bowling on a Friday night, per SOP... I now have the house and the hi-fi to meself! Get well, man, let's RIDE sometime this year! YOU should make it down to TWoS in May.
Oh... and another great movie is "The Cooler". Very well done, lots of dark humor, lots of violence and suspense. A fave of mine... not quite a film noir, but it hews along those lines for a bit. Easily recommended.
