As a voter sorting method, deliberately increasing crime is rather clever. The sheep stay, the Sheepdogs are driven off by forbidding them protecting the sheep, and the smart leave for less restrictive areas. If you were Evil and wanted to be absolutely certain you'd be in permanent power, it would work fine. The rich with armed security and walled compounds are far less affected than the poor. ...and unfortunately, Texans are now subject to this madness: In Texas, State Representative Terry Meza (D- Irving) has introduced HB196. Her bill would repeal the state's "Castle Doctrine." This doctrine allows a homeowner to use deadly force against an armed intruder who breaks into his home. "I'm not saying that stealing is okay," Meza explained. "All I'm saying is that it doesn't warrant a death penalty. Thieves only carry weapons for self-protection and to provide the householder an incentive to cooperate. They just want to get their loot and get away. When the resident tries to resist is when people get hurt. If only one side is armed fewer people will be killed." Meza was quick to reassure that her bill would not totally prevent homeowners from defending themselves. Under her new law, “… the homeowner's obligation is to flee the home at the first sign of intrusion. If fleeing is not possible, he must cooperate with the intruder. But if violence breaks out it is the homeowner's responsibility to make sure no one gets hurt. The best way to achieve this is to use the minimum non-lethal force possible because intruders will be able to sue for any injuries they receive at the hands of the homeowner. "In most instances the thief needs the money more than the homeowner does," Meza reasoned. "The homeowner's insurance reimburse his losses. On balance, the transfer of property is likely to lead to a more equitable distribution of wealth. If my bill can help make this transfer a peaceful one so much the better." | ||

Seems to extend the right of defense of property to include a tent placed on private or public land and justify killing if you fear it will be taken or destroyed. But also removes robbery from legal justification. I wonder if Meza's social media accounts are still open and unedited. But not enough to break my Un-Solemn vow not to look at them. I assume Reuters is only half correct in her defense, and the person that edited a parody post to seem real & distributed it as fact should be at least half considered dishonest. And being a little dishonest is like being a little pregnant. It's usually a binary thing, 1 or 0, yes or no. But I have to point out that even a pathological liar like Bill sometimes tell the truth if it fits their desires. Otherwise they'd never get a meal they wanted, and that level of insanity is rare outside a mental institution and really bad politics. | ||

( China's forced abortion One Child policy has led to over a billion horny young men with no one to marry unless they escape China or invade another country ) But equating a possibly never ending periodic injection ( no matter the understated health risks ) to deliberately killing a baby is over the top hyperbole. That makes it doubly ironic and horrid that the religious objection rejected arbitrarily by God representative Kathy is that the experimental gene therapy vaccine she Demands everyone submit to, is allegedly using fetal cells from abortions. Full disclosure, I have voluntarily taken the experimental gene therapy vaccine. I thought, and still do, until further research shows clearly I'm wrong, that it's a good idea for older at risk people to get even an imperfect vaccine unless they have medical conditions that make it hazardous. ( like a close friend who has inflammation disorder problems, & whose Doctor recommended against a Spike Protein based drug ) I'm not convinced it's smart to take the Spike Protein drugs if you are in the 12-30 age range. It may well be the smart call, but there are rumors and hints it might not be. Unfortunately I don't trust the rumors, anymore than I have any reason, at all, to trust the Deniers that the Mandatory drug is in any way less than God's Perfection On Earth. I know THEY lie to me. Sarcasm intended. But rational discussions and hard facts can be hard to come by with a corrupt biased political propaganda media who have abandoned the very concept of objective facts. Are reports of a massive spike in strokes after the experimental gene therapy drug accurate? Or lies? ( I have an opinion, but not a conclusion. Fears, but not certainty ) It sucks. Further disclosure. I support abortion in cases of rape or for medical reasons. ( there are several murky reasons I'm uncomfortable with, like Downs Syndrome babies, etc. ) And while I really do not like killing babies, for any reason, my preference isn't the law of the land. I'll point out that I support freedom of choice across the board, but my questioning of what the limits on killing babies should be really infuriate some and I never get an answer to my questions. I live in a State where killing babies after they are no longer inside a woman's body and thus pose only an emotional and financial threat to her health is Legal. I'm unaware of an age limit. But I'm pretty sure I'm not allowed to chose to abort anyone of any age. Not so sure about Kathy the First. Feel free to judge my comments based on my honestly expressed opinions.
