Hated we had to miss it. Doctor's office visit threw a wrench into the works. He upped my pain meds and I'm still adjusting. The upside is I found a doctor that specializes in neurology and pain management. My last Dr. was only seizure management, but could only go so far as pain goes. Next time! Saw Charlie he other night and he filled me in on the goings on. Sounds like I missed a big one.
Guitars will be played around the campfire for sure.
I'll bring my Theremin but it requires electricity. MAYBE i can convert it to USB power and plug it into somebody's bike... I have until October, but I will find a way. Glitch will hafta play "Good Vibrations" for us.
It's good to be back around the Buell community again. I've missed y'all. Old friends and new faces and people i wish I'd been friends with all along.
Xbullet, it was good to see you on two wheels again, and by that I mean two wheels inline, not side by side. I was under the impression you were going to be stuck in that chair for life, I'm glad you were able to literally get back on your feet.
It was about this time Saturday... Brian and I were still up talking, the last ones. Fran had turned in already. All of a sudden, about a half-dozen or more hoot owls started up. I FINALLY tracked down this song... Jay Clark is a friend and neighbor of mine. (Scott Miller is a friend, and the best buddy of my old boss at Smoky Mountain H-D, nee Buell.)
This goes to all youns. And to those we missed, especially Mrs. and Mr. Glitch. Do enjoy.
Years ago, this fine fellow played at The Shed with Danny Thompson, who played bass. The next day, I was tasked with leading them both on a ride around the greater Maryville/Blount county area. Had to ride my CityX at speed limits, dang I was bored.
It was GREAT to see everyone, some friends old and new. Apologies for the delayed post. I left the campsite and went to the airport with a quick stop to change the contents of the bag. Xbullet it was good to meet you. I had heard about you on 07 but had not meet you. We have a crew from all over but I am always honored and a bit awed by the out of state crew and the more I thought about it by the in state crew also. Time is the most precious thing we have and it was an honor to spend it with everyone.
And from a few years back on the trip that ended with a dead bmw charging system that lead to 11 miles,318 turns of sound that some say sounded like a little girl screaming but could have just been a noisy chain :-)
Froggy, OurDee, Buellish, RidingTall, Squids, and everyone else... it was GREAT seeing everybody. Had some great rides with Fran and John, and Charlie and my 'Bolt are both gonna be good as new in no time.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again in October, and between now and then I'll be keeping the roads around Suches hot for ya!
On the bridge in Copper Hill/McCaysville, waiting for lost Carlos and co. Kid in foreground is type I diabetic, training up a service dog to alert when his blood glucose goes low.
I'm too old to be cool, but I might try with a Basenji one day.
