No Surge in COVID two weeks later after mask mandate lifted in Texas is because of people still wear masks 2 weeks later. You have to wait at least 1 year after lifting mandate when people start going outside without masks. (Message edited by TPEHAK on March 26, 2021) |

54 weeks into the 2 week lockdown to Bend The Curve. Success! We Bent The Curve! The hospitals were not overwhelmed. A Year Ago. I am impressed by Trump's Miracle of Policy making to speed the vaccines ( multiple vaccines, not the zero predicted by Our Enemies ) to a million plus people vaccinated A Day by the time Harris/Biden* got their shots, And Then Lied About It. Impressive, but expected, was The Trump Administration triumphs supplying ventilators, hospital ships, emergency medical facilities, etc. to Governor's in need, Who Then Lied About It. And we now have a solid, undeniable, year of data and proof, that the primary determination if you are going to be murdered, die of Covid-19, or experience racism, is the Party of your State and City Rulers. |

https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2021/03/g ood_news_on_the_coronavirus_pandemic.html It’s been hard to objectively assess where we are in the coronavirus pandemic when political agendas, special interests, and media irresponsibility have clouded our outlook. Nowadays, many people are following their personal feelings and use any available facts to justify those feelings while ignoring anything that goes against their preferred narrative. The left does this ad nauseum. Folks on the right are sometimes guilty as well. That’s too bad, because an objective look at the public health picture shows promise for good news soon that justifies a prompt return to normal life. In the next few months, you can expect conditions to get much better and you can expect the media and leftist politicians to grasp at progressively thinner excuses to spend money and extend control over your personal liberties. Let’s start with a bold prediction: Herd immunity (the point where diseases find it hard to spread) is imminent in the next two months! This is far earlier than expected by medical pop stars like Dr. Anthony Fauci. We assume herd immunity when 70-80% or more are immune to a disease. This immunity can be from surviving an infection, or from a vaccination. According to the CDC, the U.S. is at 26% first dose received in the U.S. for COVID-19 vaccination. When more than 35-45% first dose coverage is achieved, I (and some others) predict herd immunity will kick in and this disease will collapse. If you are interested in the math, we’re counting the first vaccine dose because it conveys most of the immunity in the shot series. To get above 70% population immunity, you add your vaccinated (35%) to your naturally infected (25% of US population estimated) and you get to 60% so far. Add in people who are partially immune due to cross immunity from prior non-COVID coronaviruses (20%+), we can conservatively get to 75% immunity give or take 10%. (A review in the British Medical Journal estimates cross immunity at 18-50% varying by country.) If you don’t accept the idea of cross-immunity, you’ll arrive at the same numbers after another month of vaccinations. I'm mildly surprised the U.S. has hit 25% infected in one year. You could argue that shows how harmless Pooh's Breath is, but I think it shows how virulent, or infectious it is. What's the annual Chinese Flu penetration? https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/keyfacts.htm 3-11%. Thus Pooh's Breath is more than TWICE as infectious as the typical Chinese Influenza. We’ve learned a lot about this disease and there is more reason to be calm. The alarming mortality rates from the onset of this Wuhan pandemic settled down by July 2020 and never went back up. Mortality has continued to be consistently low in most age groups (See Figure 1). Everything since then, including the half million U.S. death count, has been from the inevitable race to herd immunity in a country with the population of 1/3 billion people. This remains a 65+ mortality disease (See Figure 2). Without immunizations, this disease would inexorably kill 1.5+ million in the U.S. Be of good cheer. Wash your hands. Wear a mask to fool them you're harmless. ( and more charitable motivation, to not worry the poor shop clerks ( that you are a Karen ) who aren't at fault and also victims of Tyrannical Overlords. Btw, just had shot #2 Saturday. Pfizer brand. No bad side effects, but I did hydrate per other's suggestion, and used the excuse to nap a lot No chills, fever, headaches, etc. with Shot #1 on day 3 I was a bit cool feeling and used the electric blanket, but it was also freezing outside and I had exercised and overheated in my winter jacket. Flying a power kite. I have worse reaction about 1/3 of my annual flu shot. I'm curious if the many folk with unpleasant reactions also get them with flu shots? Or the percentage of reaction complaints to those who get regular flu shots. There may be important things to learn about immune response. If you need a research paper subject, feel free to use the above. |

I'm mildly surprised the U.S. has hit 25% infected in one year. You could argue that shows how harmless Pooh's Breath is, but I think it shows how virulent, or infectious it is. I've been saying that for a year now. EITHER this is as deadly as they say...OR it's as contagious as they say...but not both. If it was that deadly...the hosts would die before they could pass it around. And we'd have bodies piled in the streets. But, we don't. What we have is, a virus so bad that you have to get TESTED to know if you have it. And if you do have it, you have a 99.9+% recovery chance...without any medication or "vaccines". Can we end this bullshit yet? |

EITHER this is as deadly as they say...OR it's as contagious as they say...but not both. Not sure who "they" are in this context, or what crud they've been pitching, but the numbers, for older folk, have been steady for months. So deadly is yes, under 5%, and mostly under 1/2% depending on age. That's pretty bad. Not End Of World Bad, but a 5% death toll in ONE YEAR is pretty darn major. It does seem as infectious as real doctors said. More than twice a bad flu. Can we end this bullshit yet? Sure, give it a month or so, and President Harris will declare Victory Over Trumps Plague and then we'll have all new bullshit. I assume you've had your boat flip while going target shooting. Pity about those lost things in a fast moving current. No chance of ever finding them. Alas. |

So the Brazilian strain is Twice as deadly to 20 ish folk than the original Pooh's Breath, and up to 5% More deadly for older folk. That's good news, in a horrid sense, for old folk in the area. It's not that much worse. Bad news for younger folk. That leads me to the question, will the Harris/Biden* regime close the doors to travel from Brazil? Or send them planes to bring them here? |

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2021/04/the_t otalitarians_covid_con_unintentionally_explained_b y_cnn_public_health_expert.html This sounds sinister, but it's the regular reaction to subjects being disobedient for thousands of years. Ask Henry VIII, or Pol Pot, or the regime in Myanmar, where just shooting people on the street has made a perfect example of & for too many. |

Since when was it my responsibility to protect other people? I protect me, that's MY responsibility. You protect you, that's YOUR responsibility. If you think I'm too close...move away. But quit expecting ME to move, to keep YOU comfortable. |

Rat, I basically agree. I pass closer than 6 feet to people at the supermarket, briefly, as I move along, and that's on me. I get too close for your comfort, ask, & I'll move. Covid Shmovid, it's just courtesy. Thanks to President Trump, and a team of top notch scientists working for a paycheck, ( and the good of mankind, but you gotta eat ) and a major pharmaceutical company's massive investment of Capital, so those labs, connections to test facilities, etc. were ready.... I'm unlikely to give anyone Pooh's Breath unless some jackhole sneezed on me and you rub your face in it. I'm even inclined by upbringing to be polite if you're in my Personal Space, and ask for some distance. That's got nothing to do with Covid, now. For me. And didn't have any relation to Chinese bioweapons in the previous decades. The only difference in my response patterns is IF some one goes full jerk/Karen in my face, I now know I'm unlikely to be prosecuted if I don't actually kill them when I throw them through a, say, beer display. Before, I'd expect that over reacting to be criminal. I'd get away with it today. Especially if I preemptively complain of discrimination. ( I Identify as Attack Helicopter ) OTOH, my courtesy level is set at least one notch up in daily public interactions. Sorta. I haven't cared for years if random strangers don't get my sense of humor & don't expect everyone to get obscure geek references. I'm pretty sure I miss tv show stuff all the time. Never watched The Office or British Period dramas. ( except the time traveling nurse who falls for the long dead Scot, that's pretty good, a Lady friend has it on a lot ) So it doesn't upset me if you miss a Dr. Who or Battlestar Galactica joke. |

Oh, 2021 tip of the year. If you get vaccinated, use your phone to photograph both sides of you CDC vaccination card, & out the card in a safe place at home, that you can describe over the phone to a friend with a key. That provides you with proof of vaccination if harassed by officious offocials. And the second part may be a good idea to get out of trouble with real Gestapo types, without them raiding your home. ( with the danger they'll shoot your cat or children and steal your stuff & leave your busted door open. ) When the Internal Passport system gets going I'll almost certainly be vocal about it. Lucky for me, I'm not involved in any terrorist activities like holding Jewish or Christian church services, or a Vote reform rally, or criticizing my Governor... Uh. Nevermind. |
