Experts say COVID-19 will never end We’ve lived with COVID-19 for more than a year now. When will the coronavirus finally disappear? Public health experts say you’re not going to like the answer: Never. https://www.cbsnews.com/video/experts-say-covid-19 -will-never-end/
Nah. When will the influenza virus disappear? Never. We’re stuck with it. We’re stuck with this coronavirus, just like we’re stuck with all the other coronaviruses that cause the common cold and viral pneumonia and have for time immemorial. It’s not a conspiracy, it’s biology.
Really just last years stuff recycled, but I point out the 1918 really nasty virus is reasonably harmless now... almost everyone it would have killed is dead and whoever it kills today is blamed on something else.
So every Covid-19 death in 2120 will be attributed to other stuff too.
I think Hoot is correct, unless there's ever another R Prez. Remember Bush? Chimpy McBushitler? He's not blamed for everything anymore. That did last 8 years, true. So it could be many years for Bad Orange Man before He's no longer an excuse.
In a century though, after Captain Trips and the Nanobot Grey Goo, Covid-19 will be forgotten by all except epidemiology and political religion majors.
Like many things over the last 5 years and nearly Everything for the last year re: the Wuhan Coronavirus, the press lied to prevent any truth about their Sponsor ( China's CCP ) OR The Bad Orange Man from going public.
6 feet is overkill. 3 feet is more realistic. But I believe we could keep social distance within 1 feet from the beginning of the pandemic without any issues.
We lose nearly 3M Americans every year. We have about 339M Americans total.
That means - in rough numbers - you have approximately a 1% chance of dying, every year, if you're an American. 3M out of 339M die, which is approximately 1 in 100. More precisely I guess it's .88% (1 out of 113), but you get the idea.
Now, the CDC says COVID has a 99.96% overall recovery rate. In other words, you have a 0.04% chance of dying from COVID. That is 4 out of every 10,000. Or, 1 out of 2,500 (with the disease).
0.88% chance of dying from life. 0.04% chance of dying from COVID, IF you catch it.
Again - why are we locked down, wearing masks, and ruining our economy?
}U.S. deaths increase most years, so some annual rise in fatalities is expected. But the 2020 numbers amount to a jump of about 15%, and could go higher once all the deaths from this month are counted.
That would mark the largest single-year percentage leap since 1918, when tens of thousands of U.S. soldiers died in World War I and hundreds of thousands of Americans died in a flu pandemic. Deaths rose 46% that year, compared with 1917.
See what they did there? Took this year's increase of 15%, and compared it directly to 1918 "when tens of thousands of soldiers died and hundreds of thousands died in a pandemic". We all know 1918 was bad, they've been using it as the comparison metric the whole time this thing has been going on.
Oh, by the way...deaths went up 46% that year, which is three TIMES the increase we saw this year.
1918? Was a pandemic. THIS, is not that. THIS, is not even a third of that.
I disagree. My circle of folk I see regularly got culled heavy in 2020. 1 close from cancer, 1 from multiple organ failure & age, and 4 from Pooh's Breath. A few more distant folk from cancer, age, etc.
I'll assume half the Covid-19 deaths, both personal and in the U.S. are people we would have lost anyway. It's based on guess and reading between the lines of the Panicdemic Propaganda, but I'd bet I'm in the ballpark.
Thus Governor Cuomo really only murdered about 10,000 elderly who would have had at least another year of family and friends, but instead died alone unable to draw a breath. Not the 20,000+ who died from Pooh's Breath and were deliberately lied about by Andrew and his minions. Negligent homicide with aggravating circumstances.
And that also perversely means ( the supposition that half the Pooh's Breath victims would have passed away, normally ) that there should be a notable decrease in automobile, boating, and skiing deaths, because of the lockdowns. I'll limit the accident fatalities to cars, since it's a dominant factor.
I'll attribute the changes in motorcycle deaths to the wealth increases during Bush the Younger with more new bikers with zero skill on big bikes, and then the Obama economic unrecovery reducing available disposable income to the besieged middle class. Feel free to argue.
Pedestrians? I'll assume cell phones and the reduction in attention span, & possibly overall idiocy.
But apparently, I'm wrong about the automobile fatalities going down!
"The pandemic has forced us into a massive social experiment", the article from Bruce/Ducbsa got that part right.
Regarding torture, social experiments may also quality as violating the Geneva conventions. Mass-scale social experimentation on the population leading to depression and other mental illnesses as we have seen during this Plandemic is wrong, period.
Dr. Fauci & Co know this is wrong, but they don't care. They have told people not to do their own research and to do as they say. This is in effect a mass-scale social experimentation that is going on:
They have the population by the horn. And they don't plan on releasing the horn anytime soon. Social experimentation never works out as intended and creates backlash.
A crisis, whether real or fake, is like an open buffet for authoritarians, they can enact laws that prior to the crisis would not have had much chance of being enacted. An example is the "Patriot Act", which was enacted during a crisis and took away Americans much of their freedom they had before. Authoritarians never let a crisis go to waste by pushing for more restrictions on what was once regarded as "normal", such as gatherings.
"Again - why are we locked down, wearing masks, and ruining our economy?"
Because it is profitable. Not to you and me, but to Dr. Fauci and & Co. I mean, who wouldn't let down a million dollars?
