I'm getting the impression from the trailer that the "Big G" is taking a "Heel Turn" and Kong will remain the "Face." I hope there's a logical explanation for this because up till now they were BOTH unquestionably "Faces."
Toho flipped him back and forth from heel to face and back again. So far, Legendary has kept him as a face, so I'm interested in seeing this to see what's changed.
From 1933 through 2020, there have been 12 King Kong films produced, with 10 American productions and 2 Japanese productions.
From 1954 through 2019, there have been 32 Godzilla films produced by Toho in Japan.
I think the answer is obvious, Kong will beat Godzilla in this movie as reparations for the disparity in terms of the representations of simian versus reptilian monsters throughout the history of monster movies.
I'll probably end up in prison for my views, but I want Godzilla to not only win, but KILL Kong dead on the spot - never to return. Then, if Kong has any kids, Godzilla should hunt them down and exterminate them.
There is no Monster King but Godzilla, and I am his prophet.
