Anyone ever build their own tadpole trike? I just bought 3 plans and a random 4th (for the discount) from here https://www.atomiczombie.com/ Thinking to put a hub motor or a crank motor on one to use going to/from work. Up hill all the way to work and want a little assistance. Also want the speed so I can get home at lunch to let the dog out. It's about 5 miles round trip. Also need something to motivate me to get back to learning to TIG weld, and nothing like a real project to force you to work. |

There are some tricks to getting the geometry set up right on a tadpole's steering. |

Looks like the trike will be put off, she found a folding 20 inch wheel electric bike that isn't as much as a small motorcycle. Need to do a little more research and we'll probably get a couple for the commute to work. https://www.usa-gforce.com/electric-bike.html Yes I know, made in China. If anyone knows of something similar made in the USA let me know. The folding is actually fairly important because it will b easy to store next to her desk, I have a much larger area that I can store one in my department. |

My daughter has one of these (now discontinued) I like the styling, it isn't just the typical folding bike with a motor and battery added.

Thanks. I don't see the Quest One listed anymore, but I think I've seen them online for sale still. I will say one thing about the Evelo site... If you need to finance your bicycle, something is wrong! We are still looking, saw some reviews on the G-Force that make me pause. The worst part of one or two was that the folding latch may unlatch while riding. Common other things that don't really matter is junk tires that deflate and junk seat. The seat is a given to replace, the tires could be a wheel issue and need closer inspection. |
